Abies Concolor - Desert concolor

Does anyone have some sources for ecotypes specific to the SW USA sky islands? I see these trees in the neighboring Sandia Mountains near my home in extremely dry environments and I wonder how similar these ecotypes that I know are to the Abies concolor available in the nursery trade. Basically, I want a drought resistant concolor sourced from the southwestern USA that can take the heat. I hate to buy a tree that has parentage up north with no summer heat tolerance.

FYI - the Sandia Mountains of New Mexico have some gorgeous white fir, so silver it is mistaken by the locals to be blue spruce that is not present in the mountains.
