I purchased a ATREANO fig tree from ROLLING RIVER NUSERY FOR $20.00.It came in a four foot long box which contained a four foot fig tree in a two gallon pot with a lot of healty compacted roots.I am very happy with my fig tree and I will probably purchased more of them in the near future from this nursery.

Grant, it's almost "as easy as falling off a log"! I invited a friend to take some cuttings and I don't really remember when he took the shoots, but they all did well. He took one to TX and reported that it had grown to bush size in just a few months. Most of the sites I visited recommended taking cuttings in February or March. Honestly, here, I think anytime during the winter would be OK since we barely have any winter. On another note, I can't prove it, but I suspect my souring problem is exacerbated by having irrigation and an overgrown tree. I'm going to take a cutting myself and pot it up on the dry side of the yard just to see if it makes a difference. Meantime, if someone has another variety they'd be willing to share a cutting of later this year, let me know. Here is a link that might be useful: propagating figs from cuttings

Osborne Prolific fig cuttings for other fig or pawpaw

Hello - I have three extra cuttings that I'd like to trade for cuttings of another north-friendly fig or scions of a named variety of pawpaw. Full disclosure: I received these from someone else and, while I trust that they really are Osborne Prolific, I haven't personally seen the fruit (or leaves). The cuttings are approximately 7" long and are more than 1/4" diameter.

Bought current house 30 years ago and started growing a veggie garden . Had all sort of things growing including different melons ,squash etc. The small bee's that pollinate the flowers have been much much less to visit over the years they still come but their numbers really have dwindled , this i noticed easily . Without these pollinators well.................. Martin

I also got my Arteano and Norman's Yellow from RR.
Plus my Neveralla from RT.
I am quite happy with both vendors...

Yes the UPS was $19.00 to Ohio,but well worth it.I have a Celeste, Black Jack, Black Spanish,and LSU Gold and the new Atreano which are all doing very good growing in 10, 15 & 20 gallon pots.They are all very good tasting figs.I am looking for one last fig tree for my collection called FIORONE DI RUVO.Thank you all for the followups.HAPPY NEW YEAR

19.00 may seem a lot to some but if its your passion its well worth it right? I have spent that and more on trees and see nothing wrong with it long as i can provide for family , life is short!
