pine nut trees

I have recantly developed an intrest in growing some trees for pine nuts. I am finding information can be hard to get on many pine nut trees. So hoping some one here can help me out.

First any sugetions for trees that reliable produce nuts every year?

Any sugestions for what will grow here, alkaline soil, not a lot of water, cold winters, hot summers?

I have looked at the pinion pines native to utah, and will most likely try one. The only problem is that they grow slow, don't produce all that reliably, and I am out of there native range, so may have a hard time keeping them well. Most likely that will not stop me from at least tring.
