Yay, Rita! Scapehunter in action! I found a few too, on what I think is Sebastian the Crab and Blast to the Past - but of course I shared pots so have no idea which plant in each container is the one being labeled.

The main season daylilies are not showing anything yet. But ya gotta start somewhere!

Wonderful! Won't be long now. I think all the rain we've been having the last couple of years has really bulked up the daylilies. I have one area, not all that big, but I just put daylilies in it about 3, maybe 4 years ago. Started out as just a couple of fans ea, but I can hardly tell where one plant starts & another stops.

I am doing the Scape Hunters too!!! That is so funny!!!
What a great reality show that would be ( for just some people ) I also am seeing scapes like crazy, Lava Flow for me too, Rita, And Incendiary I counted 9 scapes on 11 fans, it's crazy, Oh, 4 scapes on Meet Joe Black, 5 scapes on Francois Verhaert. I could go on, I am just seeing them everywhere, generally my early bloomers.
Awesome Blossom and Moonlit Masquerade. My only Hanson showing is Ocean Rain. I just love seeing those scapes coming up in the foliage. I am anticipating a great season for all of us up North, maybe all that rain helped something afterall. I can't wait to see everyone else's blooms too! In addition to you all that are already posting.

Cindy- It's good to be excited over the daylily scapes. But you must be ahead of me because only the earlies so far here.

There aren't many weeds in there. I guess they can't fit betwen the daylilies.

Looks like the show will be starting soon for you. Can't wait to see your pics. I have a few scapes now too, but I haven't done a thorough hunt yet. I've been away so much that the weeds are way ahead of me so that's what I'm working on now.

I'm not sure how close they are too blooming. Many buds not that big but these are mostly not big flowered daylilies.

I found two more with scapes ENDLESS DAY and RED RAMPAGE. Honestly, I looked there yesterday and they weren't there. I don't see how they can appear overnight!

I am out there trimming back some overhanging shrub limbs and I found one of the Paul Owen unnamed selected seedlings just loaded in scapes. It's so great to be finding scapes.

I've done a slapdash looking for scapes. I have one scape
that is loaded with buds MYSTIC MARINER, I can't take
credit for it, it is a gift from my daughter. I am very
eager to see the flowers, a picture I saw was very nice.

My plants are also growing huge and cuddling up to each
other--this ought to be some bloom season.

I was just thinking how the daylilies look like they took steroids this year or something. Lush and thick and big. I used Flower Tone Fertilizer on them this spring and there has been lots of rain in a cool spring.

Same here, my garden is the lushest it's been in years and seeds sprouted like magic this year that I usually have to soak. I actually have these.charming elvish mushroom forests growing in two long planters..and more surprise scapes.

I have scapes on Pandora's Box and Swallowtail Kite, normally it is just Stella this time of year but we have had record rainfall though cool temps. I think I read the other day we've only had six days over 60* so far this year....brrr
