Where is everyone placing their Spring DL order from???

I know for sure that I will buy from Maryotts this Spring but I am looking for another place that sends nice plants, good bonus's and have good prices.. (I know.... I am asking for alot!! lol lol)

I just received my order from Ridaughts, and they sent me my choice of a bonus...the bonus was bigger than the rest of the plants that I received, and the others were no small fry! I recommend them.

I ordered several from Blue Ridge Daylilies for my sister's birthday. The clumps they sent were so huge that my sister and I were able to divide them and each get 2 or 3 or sometimes 4 fans each. Each of the fans was huge too, and very vigorous. I plan to do most of my business with them from now on. They have a very large selection and good prices.

Natalie, I have a pretty long list and have been very happy with all of the ones I'm listing. Some are better than others about responding to e-mails but I've never been disappointed in the plants. Sheep Run, Valley of the Daylilies, Cheryl's Daylilies, His Glories, Daylilies by the Pond, Farmhouse, Marietta's, Earlybird, Soules, Joiners, Sunshine Hollow, Crossborder Daylilies, Hoot Owl Hollow, Peace on Earth, Tranquil Lake, Sunset Meadows, Ashwood, Wynn's. I have some dls coming this spring from some I've never ordered from before but the communication has been absolutely great and I have no doubt the plants will be the same. They are Cottage Gardens, Daylilies, Etc., Blue Ridge, Shady Rest, Moon Shadow Gardens, Seawrights, Slightly Different Nursery and gary Schabens (senior moment - I can' think of the name). There are a couple of smaller hybridizers I've ordered from who seem to be terrific and generous people. I plan to try Dancing Daylilies later. There are a couple I haven't been pleased with because of communication problems but I'll try to be kind and not mention names. If I had bunches of money I'd be ordering more from some of the better known hybridizers this spring but retirement income only goes so far. Hope this helps. DD

CTC ~ I noticed that too! I had purchased Goose Bumps so Draculas Mistress wouldn't be lonely. Then I just went in and ordered a few more starting from where I left off in the alphabet at Floral and Hardy. Had to order Cherry Lane for Puff and Jackie Paper! Believe me, if I have ANY bloom next year I will post! I have quite a few iris blooms in my photobucket albums. Peonies too. I can't wait for spring and summer next year! More to see what overwintered successfully here!

Thank you both for that information. I just went to Stark Bros. website. They say Fuji must be cross-polinated with a different variety and recommended Gala, Braeburn, Golden Delish and a few others. ONly problem was, they're sold out of all the trees they recommended for cross-polination, including the golden delish, but they did have Fuji in stock. So, I went ahead and ordered one Fuji semi-dwarf. They said they will ship in a couple days so I can get it right into the ground and baby it through summer. Then next spring, when Atwood's and Lowe's have tons and tons of golden delish, I'll buy a new one of those. If the Fuji gets to be too much of a pain in the neck to take care of, I guess I could always replace it with another Delicious apple. I hope, what with them being in the front yard, that they will be far enough from cedar but at any time in the future one of my neighbors can decide to landscape with cedar in their front yards and then that'll mess me up. We'll see! We had a hard rain this morning. It overflowed my half-empty mushroom-shaped water tank AND the empty tank I just bought (on sale at Atwood's, and shaped like a barrel on it's side). We just got it hooked up to the downspout on the other side of the house. I'm amazed how much water comes down those downspouts!

I get my seeds from www.seedstrust.com they have many varieties for high altitude gardening. most of their seeds are fast growing varieties, so you can harvest your produce faster.which some of you square footers might appreciate.and their seeds are all organic or heirloom so you don't have to worry about growing genetically modified food. this year they were out of my tomatoes so they sent me a different variety for free. i also ordered from seeds of change but their sales lady didn't have any answers for the simple questions i had

I placed all of my Spring orders during the winter. They have arrived and are tucked snuggly in their beds. I highly recommend ordering from Mike Grossmann, either on the Lily Auction or from his website. He sells single fans but the are very well priced and the fans are BIG.

I second the recommendation for Northern Lights Daylilies. I received my order from him last week and they are very large (especially for a northern garden) single fans with bonus fans and a large bonus plant.

I also received very nice plants this spring from a number of other sellers on the Lily Auction. Still waiting on a few more before I make a report on all of them. If you check out the seller's feedback you can see what they tend to send out. I've been very pleased thus far. Many of the sellers there sell from their own websites too.
