Size Arborvitae 'Emerald Green' really gets?

Hi:

I'm considering a row of about 5 of these as a privacy hedge between part of the side of our backyard & a neighbor's place. I like the form & color; with they didn't have to be watered so much the first year; need to know how far apart to plant them (will probably get them at Lowe's, maybe 3 - 4' tall).

Online research shows some say they get around 15' tall, thus a fine alternative to Leyland Cypress when you need modest height, and some way they can hit 40' tall.

Anyone care to give a practical opinion on this?

Thanks!

Richard.
