Oh thank you for posting these. I just love seeing other peoples gardens! I took such delight in your garden art. I love those touches. I envy your shed. It looks great and the plantings are wonderful. The climbers look so, hmm, "gardeny". I love that look. The flowers on the clematis are stunning. I wish I could grow that in my (shady) blue garden.
It looks like you put a lot of wonderful plants in and I am truly looking forward to watching your garden bloom and fill in this summer. You will be posting those pictures...won't you? ;-)
Nice job on the mulching by the way. I always enjoy that part because I think it makes everything look so finished. Don't envy you putting up the fence though. LOL Anyway, great pictures of your well loved garden. I imagine that porch is going to see a lot of use this summer.

I know how you feel about wanting others to see. I live in the country and have a huge shrub border up front so no one really gets to see my gardens unless they are here and walking through them.

In one way, I love it and in another it is a bit frustrating.

I get my mulch by the truckload. I can't imagine how many bags it would have taken me. Brave soul you are. :)

Your shed is adorable! And your garden is a delight!

I just love the early morning garden walks - what a pleasant way to have a cup of coffee and start the day. I love the shed too and all the clematis - we need more pictures when your flowers have filled out - looks like it will be lush and inviting. While I do have neighbors we are on acre plus wooded lots in the country and not many see our gardens either. It is nice to be able to at least share through pictures - thanks for starting my day off with a smile .....

Token - That little dragon came from LTD but I got it about three years ago. I've never seen it anywhere again. It's one of my favorites.

The bamboo fence just attaches to my regular chain link fence. My mom and I attached it all with wire then realized we didn't have enough. (Proabably should have measured. haha.) So now it all has to come down and be moved over for the new part.

Looking forward to seeing everyone's gardens this year. I always get excited when I see someone has posting new pictures. :-)

Great gardens! Love that shed, especially the color. That bamboo fence makes a nice neutral background to your colorful plantings. And the dragons are so cool, my kids would be begging me for them.

You know, it's kind of funny that several of you have mentioned the shed color. When I moved into my house three years ago, it was unpainted. Dark brown boards and pretty run down looking. The first thing I did was paint it and I could see all the neighbors looking over and thinking 'oh, goodness, some crazy person just moved in.' It was pretty bright against the dark brown. They like it now, though.

I like the borrowed view in I think it's the third to last pic, of your neighbor's Rhodie(?)in bloom. Soon your palm will hide the view of his toolshed, too.

There was a famous landscape designer, was it Russell Page? Somebody like that, who had a bamboo fence. The fence outlasted him.

Only May, and you have tropicals out. July will be splendid. I look forward to seeing your garden grow.

I love the garden shed -- that's a great color that really showcases the flowers so perfectly! All the winding paths and separate garden beds look like so much fun to explore. You have done so much work and all your efforts will be so rewarding for years and years!
