I really like the giant cream bloom... spectacular!!!!
Plus I like the lavendar cream blend too.... WOW. All are very lovely!!!!

Very interesting collection of seedlings! Aren't they fun? I like the white ones. And these dips are very healthy and hardy, too.

I have a lot of DIP seedlings blooming for the first time this year -- I look forward to seeing at least one new bloom, if not more, every morning. They are a riot of color. Some do change. They either become more pastel as the day wears on, or more intense. Some have big yellow stars in the center, giving the seedling bed a carnival atmosphere. We have fun thinking up names for them.

Truly gorgeous.. I love the cow's milk one and can't get over the size of the flowers. I've got a long way to go with daylilies. Previously cannas were my thing and I think I collected and crossed every one I could get my hands on but I'm scared to death of the canna virus now... so it's time for a new obsession.

My goodness Gerard, you do have some huge ones and some very pretty ones too, I might add. I love those big old spider forms, but that set of pink blush twins just grabbed me. :)

That's quite a seedling bonanza, Gerard! Lovely. I think my favorite ones are the brownish seedlings - the first one with that lovely gold wire edge, and the "lucky dog" one with the huge golden throat against rose/rust petals. The white-blush twins are gorgeous, too. And you sure do have some whoppers! Fantastic. Thanks for sharing!

OH BOY, where to start? These are great. Love the first one, and the one you called "vintage" I absolutely love that form. Actually, I like them all, especially the ones with the more open forms. Great job.

I know the bigger ones arent that much on current trends in the "form" department, but thats what i was into a few years ago, and am now seeing what came from that interest. Im hoping some will greatly improve, and some will be tossed anyway because they SUCK as plants. As you can see some of the surrounding bed has been culled and yanked out. And the ones i do keep are usually on the more pastel or have really loud color.

I lean toward the yellows and the whites. but love color blends that go from two extremes like white and dark pinks/purples. Anyhow keep the comments coming.

I really like the color blend midget spider in your second set of pictures. Is it on a short scape, or are you refering to the size of the bloom as being midget?

I hope the cows are not hungry. I wouldn't be feeding the herd with any of those. Beautiful!

When i say midget spider i mean the flower size, all of the ones you see are above 15-20" tall, and plenty of buds, but the flower size itself is small, some just barely 3" across as in the 1st spider seedling (if the stats on any of those are even considered spiders and not spufs or something else) picture shown by the poop tank. The rest get to about 4" but thats still midget spiders considering the parents on some of those crosses. But hey i saw a DL at lowes today that was only 2" wide, Pumpkin something or other, if thats even registered, but it was kinda cute, so maybe ill keep a few to do a miniature spider? LOL

The white blush 4 year old seedling is my favorite. thanks for the pictures.

I know you don't like the second one from teh top (the lavender one) but the shape, though not traditional is very interesting. It has a very romantic shape to it, like someone's imagination of what a flower might look like or a piece of jewelry. I like the way the yellow and cream mix with the lavender color. Just my opinion.

Minature spiders are very cool. They are very different and unique. I think there really could be a demand for them.
