Beautiful daylilies but my favorite photo is the turtle, and yes she does look happy! Looks like she's smiling at you. :)

Jan and Chris, Glad you enjoyed the pics. The turtle wasn't very shy. We fed her some worms and she gobbled them right up. I also tried to give her some fresh cabbage, but she turned her nose up at it.

missylin, That plant you see is a shasta daisy "Alaska". I have several different varieties. Alaska isn't blooming yet, but here is a pic of a dwarf shasta daisy "Snowcap" that are starting to bloom in between the pansies.

I have Whooperee and have two nice clumps now. It's supposed to be a rebloomer, but it hasn't for me. I haven't even seen a scape yet here.

SC HOT TOPIC is so bright and cherry. Think that one is going on my want list. The pic of your garden buddy really made my morning.....looks like your garden certainly has her/his approval. What a smile!

Last summer my in-laws had a box turtle that came to visit every afternoon and ate the bread crusts they threw out by the bird feeders. It wasn't scared of us at all.

I don't know much about turtles, but I appreciate the picture. What do they eat? Several years back, one of my dogs had one in his mouth...with bright orange markings on its back. I took it away and placed it in the small wooded area outside my fence (actually other neighbors' yards) hoping it could go to wherever it came from.

My pets don't take to other critters in their yard very well...

blue23rose, I can't remember if WHOOPEREE rebloomed last year or not? I will have to pay closer attention this year.

Linda, I liked SHT so much last year, I ordered two more (red is my favorite color). I now have 3 nice little clumps of it.

Dot, Scared of a turtle? LOL! Actually, my brother-in-law has a small scar on his cheek where a snapping turtle bit him. My husband was holding the turtle while he was riding his bike and his little brother was sitting up on the handlebars...when the snapping turtle reached out and grabbed his face and wouldn't let go...Ouch! There were just kids, and they tell that story at least once a year...so I know it made quite an impact on them.

daffodillady, I think a lot of box turtles are used to people because they are so long lived and were probably kept as pets at some point in their lifetime.

gg, Box turtles will eat just about anything if they are hungry (even dog food). We've had about a dozen or so through the years when our son was growing up. We had a mating pair that had 4-6 little ones every year. They'd stay awhile and then wander off.

Here is the tiniest little guy I found in my pool last week - I told him *NO MORE GOING IN THE POOL* - he ends up in the skimmers going round and round. Now he is living in my pond. So cute.

Fairysoapgirl, I love that little turtle! It's a wild turtle? I had one like that as a pet as a child. I love tortoises and turtles.

FSG...that little guy looks like a red eared slider turtle. I had several of them take up residence in my pond last year, but haven't seen any of them yet this year. I hope they come back.

Julia, yes I like RM too, but it is still settling in here. It's not planted in the best spot, but it's trying hard to make it work.
