I take it back, I think my bad experience was with Spring Hill Nursery.

I ordered from Lazy S's Farm this year. Had no luck finding a dwarf oakleaf hydrangea locally, so I bit the bullet and placed a mail order. Best mail order shipment of plants ever! Dh & I unpacked the box together and we both kept commenting about the brilliant method used. Everything was protected ... there was no foliage damage, no dirt or water leakage. Plants are all quart size. Shipping costs are high, but you get what you pay for.

What do you want to buy? The best nurseries are those that specialize in a certain type of plant.

I always try to buy from a grower in a simialar zone as the one I am in. I use Bluestone perennials the most.

American Meadows is a good souce, you might try them. My favorite mail order for plants is High Country Gardens. I buy Agastache and Salvia most years but have been buying from them for years.

Another place I love is Easy to Grow Bulbs. They have lots of plants and great quality and shipping. I am always buying something there.
