First order arrived today

I somehow must have gotten my dates mixed up when planning for the shipments. Not the best weather here right now given that we've had 2 hard freezes over the past 2 days.

Hopefully the weather person is right and our temps are going to moderate this week with lots of rain moving in.

I can't tell if anyone here's from Colorado. I had my only sighting a week and a half ago, either rubythroat (unlikely) or broadtail (more likely). They head to the mountains. In the west suburbs of Denver blackchinned hummers usually hang around, but I get the migrants too. Not so far tho. Nothing and I mean NOTHING! Two feeders out, brilliant red begonias, and my nice red lounge chair LOL!

Awww, look at the little blonde cuties. I am mother of 3 of the darkest haired, but whitest skinned, children you'll ever see. Dark hair I understand but white skin must come from DH's Irish mother as he and I are both olive skinned. amylovesbud, love your blog! And your sweet handle, so nice to see people still in love after years of marriage. Sixteen years (21 years together) as of this Friday for us...and guess what???... robinlovesben! My order just came in yesterday. Two huge boxes from ARE. My hubby didn't say a thing! LOL. The way I see it is that 1. I work, so I can buy whatever I want. and 2. I never say anything about his ever expanding Batman collection. LOL. Anyway, I can't wait to unbox everything. So exciting! This is my first order from ARE. It's cold here and we are expecting snow on Sunday. Major bummer. For now, I'll just water the plants and leave them in our small greenhouse (on the floor, away from direct sun). I also have my 3 roses from Palatine. Those will get potted and also, placed on the floor for now, away from the sun. Once everything leafs out, they will get placed on the benches in sun.

Thanks everybody, number two to bloom should be Tribal Council, but we have had a spell of cloudy cool weather and it seems to be holding the bloom season back. Maryl, I have a number of "old trumpet shaped" daylilies and I love them, particularly since most are yellow and fragrant. David, Siloam Art Work going to be in full sun, so when it gets hotter here, we will keep a close eye on it, move it if necessary--thanks for the heads up. Debra and everybody else, it's really exciting to see the first scapes. We have lots and lots now, the leader of the unbloomed ones are Stella's Ruffled Fingers with 13 at this time. Who knows what I will find in the next day or two, it's so fun.

I agree with the others, you have very nice colors here. I do favor Jellyfish Jealousy because of the violet feathered eye. Know you are looking forward to better weather so you can get these beauties planted. Avedon

Hopefully our weather breaks here so I can get them planted. Not cold, but we are getting rain on and off, temps are rising but now the ground is too wet to plant and looks to be this way for the rest of the week. We heard thunder last night and sounds like I hear thunder again in the distance. Must be a storm coming. I'm not complaining. I'd rather have rain than snow or sleet.
