WANTED: What do you want the Easter Bunny to bring you???

Easter isn't that far off (March 24th) and wouldn't it be nice for the Easter Bunny to send you your favorite wants? I know I have lots of seeds to share, and would be more than happy to send some, along with a little chocolate just in time for Easter. Post your wants here, and hopefully someone will respond and be able to send some along to you. Contact here or via email/GW mail and lets get hopping.

Well, let's see....I would really love to have some hollyhock"creme de cassis" seeds please Mr. Easter Bunny........oh ya, and some warm weather so that I can get outside in the garden!

I've started looking at things & thinking would my SS person like this? Can't wait to see who I get. I like cross stitch, cats, candles, baking & cake decorating items. Any plant I don't have (including bulbs or seeds) is great especially fragrant, colorful, odd or unusual & I like plants with a story behind them. Looks like I'll be able to make it after all :) Here's what I'm bringing (I will follow others suit and not do dibs): Pulmonaria - also called cowslip, Bethlehem Sage, lungwort. It's a semi-shade perennial, very hardy, low growing (when flowering, maybe reaches 12" max). Has red-pink flower buds , opening up to reddish - violet and then turning blue as they age (may be Dark Vadar). Flowers close at night and open again in the morning. Blooms in spring. Keep it moist, but otherwise low maintenance. Divide it every few years. Large Hosta: may be Giant Hosta, not sure. But the leaves are large (about 9" long x 7" wide), and it gets about 2' tall. Gets flower spikes with white blooms, smells very nice! Blooms in early/mid-summer, at least for me. A shade to semi-shade perennial. Keep it moist, but otherwise low maintenance. Divide it every few years. A couple of baby Russian Sage: you see this plant all over the place in Colorado, but in case you aren't familiar with it: xeric perennial, has airy spires of small, purple-blue flowers and finely-cut, gray-green foliage on upright, grayish-white stems, I think people either love, or hate, this plant - I'm a lover! I'm noticing that it can start taking over a bit - it puts up new growth from the roots, but also apparently from the seeds as these two shoots were growing away from the main plant. It gets from 3-5 ft tall, and about as wide. Cut it back after blooming, or let it go for winter interest (but cut back in spring when new growth emerges to get rid of the dead stalks. But some re-growth does come off of the older stems). I personally love the scent of the flowers and stems - a sagey-mint fragrance. But I have heard others that say it's too overpowering. Pale Purple Iris: Not sure if this is the same color that Mayberry is bringing or not. Do you have a pic, Mayberry? Sorry my pic is not very good - my hard drive crashed awhile back, and it ruined some of my saved pics :( This is one I had posted on Picassa, and I zoomed in on the iris (so it's a little out of focus), but I think you get the idea! hammerl, thanks! I would love hosta rock princess. Not to brag, but wait until you see the gorgeous iris I will bring. They are in bloom now and doing exceptionally well this year. I will look for some agastache. Every year they have self-seeded, but last year I dead-headed them early because of the stink-bugs. Ruthie, my caryopteris died this year. Not sure why, because I did wait until spring to cut them back, I know they are like lavender that way. Are they just naturally short-lived? Want even more german iris :-)? I spent hundreds of dollars on them initially, getting the latest and fanciest from a specialty iris farm in California. In order to get my money's worth, I give lots away every year so others can enjoy them. Last year I gave lots to Tara, so hopefully we'll see them in her garden this year. For a long time I was in an "iris phase". (now it's lilies and clematis) I will also have dahlias tomorrow. These are the swans. They look like ugly, mis-shapen potatoes today, but I promise they turn into care-free blossom heavy beauties by late July. I have only just started planting mine, so it is definitely not too late to plant them. Keep that in mind when you look at the grungy paper bags they come in. Can't wait to see everyone tomorrow!

Anything that is truely weird, wonderful and hardy. You know things like toad lilies, egyptian walking onions, pawpaws, sand cherries, medlars,etc.... Just a few examples.

Hello Melanie I have a climber vine called Hedge Hog Gourd- Wild Cucumber. A doz. plants will cover a 6' fence in a summer. I like bright red flowers from easter bunny

My kids can't wait until it's time to hunt for their baskets, and I can't wait until the snow melts. It would be great if you could find me some of the following seeds:

I am ssooooo thrilled to have the creme de cassis hollyhock seeds (and the other ones too)....definitely ones that I have been drooling over! They arrived today. :)I also REALLY enjoyed the lovely chocolate before sitting and relaxing with my Timmies tonight after supper.

The easter bunny went tromping through the snow and picked you a whole stalk of golden rod. I couldn't locate the tag in the frozen earth under a foot of snow but its a baby variety-either 'baby gold' or 'golden baby', but when it melts I could let you know which variety it is. Let me know if you're still interested.
