Comments (3)Yes, 'Globosa' :) I won't discredit Ken Salvail for making a mistake, he owns an award winning landscape company and has all sorts of informative youtube videos, he's human and entitled to a blunder, though maybe should be a bit more observant of names, but I'm also guilty of the same :) I planted a very full and compact 'Globosa' about eight years ago. The thing grew slowly in my dryish somewhat nutrient deficient soil, though picked up the pace to loosen and open up and produce a dominate leader that was lookin to take charge. So, for the first time, I pruned the entire specimen and will continue with that in order to keep it in it's current location....See MoreIdeal Privacy Spacing for Norway Spruce and Blue Spruce in Zone 5A
Comments (4)Depending on your location Picea pungens may not be the option for a long and healthy screen due to the needle diseases they are subject to in humid climates. Replace with Picea omorika. My Picea abies screening is 18' on center. Picea omorika ranges from 13 to 15' on center....See MoreCupressina Columnar Spruce cones
Comments (10)I'm not really concerned with the how tall it gets. Ultimately it won't grow as quickly in my zone anyways. The height isn't the only part that is going to get a lot bigger - you've got it way to close to the fence, are placing it like it was going to become a small shrub. And Norway spruce is a cold climate adapted species, that doesn't necessarily grow markedly slower in a climate a few zones colder than the one here. https://www.bing.com/images/search?view=detailV2&id=E35DFBC59E5BBEE14882B73AFF933E8597FE36F8&thid=OIP.c4j37QvbX9_conp6qvH-zwHaIf&mediaurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.thetreefarm.com%2Fmedia%2Fcatalog%2Fproduct%2Fcache%2F1%2Fthumbnail%2F9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95%2Fp%2Fi%2Fpicea-abies-cupressina-columnar-norway-spruce_1.jpg&exph=480&expw=419&q=cupressina+spruce&selectedindex=28&ajaxhist=0&vt=0&eim=2...See Moreconifers
