Hi vlodom, I was just going through some similar decisions recently and rhonda in upstate SC convinced me to go with Crepuscle. She posted a picture of it growing at one year old that is incredibly enticing. Plus, it will do that well in less than ideal sunlight. And it has few thorns. Just a really nice rose, I think. I've been interested in New Dawn too. Someone has been working on me towards one of New Dawn's seedlings: Penny Lane. That one has really good shade tolerance, she said, and she loved its fragrance. I assume it will grow as well in the Piedmont as New Dawn will, though she was writing from Kansas. Some other rambling or climbing roses you might take an interest in: Madame Alfred Carriere, Dublin Bay, Red Fountain, Quadra, Laguna, Reve d'Or, Jaune Desprez, William Allen Richardson, Sympathie, Goldfinch, Creme de la Creme, Climbing Pinkie (especially the cultivar at the Antique Rose Emporium). If you'd really like a lot of bushiness as well as the ability to put out some long canes, then take a look at Ghislaine de Feligonde. It ought to mix well with Crepuscle too. Avoid Iceberg, including climbing Iceberg, if you want to try to avoid having to spray for blackspot on the east coast. I wanted Iceberg so much that I decided to give it a try anyway... but sure enough, all I'd read about it being more of a problem on this side of the country turned out to be correct. I have decided to go with the Rebel XTi myself. The reviews on www.dpreview.com helped me, so I would check that site out, maybe it will make your decision easier. Bear in mind that the Rebel XSi is due out in a few months. I think it is $899 with what I understand to be a good kit lens. I had debated on waiting, but Im impatient, and its a little out of budget. Its going to have a live view LCD, which is good, 12mp, and a feature that the XTi lacks, Spot Metering...a very useful tool! Anyway, Hope that site helps....good luck!

Hi Nora! I saw your post on the kt, sorry I didn't get back with you. I am on my third digital. My first was an olympus, then the fugiS5000 with a 10x zoom. I had my fugi for 5 years and I love it. I just bought a Sony Alpha100 dslr a few weeks ago. I really like it so far, but I am still learning with it. It had very good reviews. The reason I choose it over the canon or nikon, was because I had minolta lenses that were compatible with it and would keep my cost down. Why don't you check out the site listed below, steves digicam. They give very good reviews on all cameras. I studied reviews for over a month until I made the decision on this latest camera. Patty said what I was going to. I have a memory card reader. It will read maybe 20 different kinds of memory cards from various cameras. Take your Kodak to WallMart or BestBuy and ask a salesperson to check your memory card for compatibility with the memory card readers they have. My camera has a cord that will plug into the camera and then into the computer's USB port. Is that how you used to do it? Me too. Now it's earsier for me to use the memory card reader instead as I have a couple of different cameras. The other possibility is Win10 not have the "drivers" (files) needed for your camera model. In my town I've found more computer savy people at Best Buy than at Staples or WalMart. If your new computer is a laptop you can take it with you to make certain all works. I have done that at BestBuy regarding a power cable. I asked if they matched the best online price (as I'd heard another customer do) and he did a search then and there on the computer by the cash register and took another $10 off the sale price (to match WallMart's price).
