I love those days during the winter season when I can get out and play in the yard. We are having a few of those lately. I know I live in the deep South, but we have had more hard freezes this year than I can remember in a long time, and of course we are always rainy during the winter. Have fun!!!!!

I have spring fever really badly today as its a nice sunny day in the mid 40s. A regular heat wave for us lately. Nothing to do outside, it is still covered in deep snow here.

Here too, we got up to 36* and sunny. May not sound like much, but this is warm compared to what we had. In the last two weeks it was common for it to be below zero when I left for work in the morning and getting up to 19* for a high.
I potted up some daylily seeds this morning. It's the first year with my own seeds so I'm kind of excited!

Today was fantastic.. didn't get into the garden and was almost afraid to, because the daylily leaves look like such a horrific, gray-green soggy mess now that the snow/ice have cleared. But I'm going to start a bunch of cosmo seeds inside with my kids to go with the daylilies this year so it will get a little of my itchiness for spring under control.

I agree with every one about a spring day, today.It got up to 65 here, b ut was a tad windy.I wasn't in the yard as I went grocery shopping with my younngest daughter, and I can't do what I use to do,When we got back,I was too tired and was hurting so bad,I spent the rest of the evening in a recliner.The over dose of the statin drugs for h igh cholesterol that a lunatic Dr. prescribed for me last year, really done a lot of damage with the muscles in my legs,especially in the thighs, so I can't do a lot no more., But still cant wait till spring when I can spend my days outside.

Lovely day here too, I spent some time outside & plan on being out today also. I go to the doctor Monday so after that I can "legally" get down & weed I hope.
Jean, some of those cholesterol drugs are really awful, aren't they? DH was started on some, but his legs almost immediately began to hurt so badly that he stopped. The doctor told him to continue & the pain would eventually stop, but agreed to switch to something else. That prescription didn't cause any problems. When you read the side effects of many of these prescriptions, you wonder if the cure isn't worse.

It is glorious!! Katladie, you are right, it has been much colder than usual for the south, and we have had multiple snows! I know, all snowbirds are used to dealing with many, many, snowfalls, but we aren't supposed to have them. That is the other side of the hot, humid summers.

ngraham, I am the last one who is entitled to warn anyone not to overdo, but be careful. And you are right...the cure can be as bad as the disease.

I got to work a few hours today, and am still weeding and clearing. It is wonderful. DH put up the first three shelves in the shed today. I may get to post some pictures tomrrow. I love this weather!!! It is 71 right now. I wish you all spring! (And I wish it would last, but know reality awaits at some point)

NGRAHAM: Yes, the statin drugs are alful.My main problem was my cholesterol wasn't coming down fast enough to satisfy this Dr,I was sent to, and he had me on 40mgs of Zocor, and I was hurting a lot then too, but just figured I was getting older so hurting is just part of it, Then he switched me to 80 mgs of it,and that done it for me, but,I really didnt put the two together, The Zocor and my pain. After a few weeks om it that strong,I went on the internet and searched every where for all the information I could find on it, and found out that any one thats over 60 yrs old should never take zocor 80 mgs of it.Should have never been more then the 40 mgs.I stopped taking it right then, but the damage is already done.This Dr left town and is no longer here.
Today was so pretty out.Sunshine all day and a high of 72 this afternoon. I went outside and took my little stool to sit on and pruned some roses, and pulled up a h andful of weeds, then put our some Preen in this one small flower bed. I really hope the bulk of our freezing weather is over.

How rotten for you Jean. To an extent I can sympathize with doctors, it must be hard to keep up with all the changing prescriptions & technology out there. Still, they should take that responsibility. I hope it gets better for you over time. I'm not sure what DH was on, probably Zoroc because I'm sure it did start with a Z. It worked well for his cholesterol, but he wasn't on it long because he didn't like the leg pain.
Warm out today, but very windy & that made it seem chilly. Such a change from last week though, when temps got down to -10 degrees for several nights.
