Hey.. I actually do have some pics I would LOVE to pop up, but I can't for my life figure out how to attach a pic here.:(

I think you have to host them at imageshack or tinypic or a hosting service and then upload from there. My computer crashed last fall and I lost most of my daylily pics! I had hundreds but only uploaded a very few on the plant trading forum. I should go check......................

Tepelus, the hosta "Blue Mouse Ears", is it as diminutive as it appears (yeah, I'm gonna Google it anyway)? Most interesting to see the Catalpa flowers, I've purchased the so-called Catalpa worms for catfishing (with good results) but I don't think I'd know the tree. Guess I'm a clue closer though? As for tree blooms, I've never seen any nicer, thanks for sharing!

Hey Wes-

Catalpa trees are one of my favorites, they grow fast, have huge heart-shaped leaves, gorgeous flowers and unique bean-shaped pods a foot or more long. Their leaves don't change color in the fall, they just brown up and fall, usually they fall while still green. As for the hosta, yup, it's a small one, the leaves are only a couple inches wide, the plant itself will only get to be roughly ten inches across and six inches tall (minus flowers).

How's this for 'winter cheer'? Likely mentioned/posted before but I just stumbled across this killer last night. Apparently a waiting list for single fans (and I can see why)! It's 'Cat Ballou', Bill Gluck 2007. Link below. Trying to stick with spiders this year so I'm glad this one is out of my price range!

Boy, these were good. I really need a shot of spring to chase away the winter blues. Here are some spring shots that help me thru the winter. I have my DL planted all through the daffs, and the DL do a great job of hiding all the spring foliage. I'll admit i started with spring bulbs which i dearly love, and started the daylilies in order to cover the foilage, but then the DL bug bit me big time!!!! In the next to last pic, you can see my daylilies coming up among the daffodils. I have filled this bed with the daylilies and added more daffs this past fall. Cant wait for spring!!!

Beautiful daffodils! I really need to plant more spring flowering bulbs, but by fall I'm usually burnt out with gardening and have no desire to plant them.

My earliest bloomers are bearded iriises as the left-over foliage remains attractive throughout the season. These are "Best Bet" mixed in a bed that holds a half dozen varities of daylilies (2 clumps of each). They're geting a little large so I might transplant one and divide the other to keep them in the same locations. Last year was their 4th and finally produced a re-bloom...at Halloween! (They got bit by the frost and continued to try to open through December)So as of now ,my earliest and latest blooms.

But shame on me... I should be appreciating all the beauty around me now. The sunrise was gorgeous this morning with all the snow glistening. Still, I want my flowers.

With the tinypic.com url no account is needed, you just browse the folder of your choice and upload your pics individually and it will give you several link codes (again, the 'html' code choice is needed for the pics to show in your post). Wow, pamghatten..I love that last shot!! It looks so peaceful and serene. I love the color of that tree peony too; it is such a saturated color.

Weeper, it is peaceful and serene ... the only noises besides an occasional car going down the road is the cows next door and my donkeys.
