planting thuja green giants in midsummer

hi,

We ordered a shipment of green giants from botany shop.com hoping for delivery last week and just received an email that they are "out of stock" until midsummer. We are trying to decide if we should get a smaller size (we had ordered the 5 gallon size because we have a very noisy road situation that we want to alleviate sooner than later if possible) or wait until the larger size might be available. Is there any concern with planting these trees in midsummer in our area (western suburbs of Chicago). I know the trees are drought tolerant once established but I assume planting is a different story. We have been told by a landscaper that we have very good soil. Thanks for your advice on planting these trees!

Larisa
