Abies koreana - good choice?

Hi all. My wife and I have a nice planting area about 30 feet from our deck and are consifering a species Korean fir for that location. Good choice for Zone 5 in Michigan?

The area is mostly sunny, getting about 8 to 10 hours of direct sun per day. Shady late in the afternoon due to a dense row of white spruce nearby. The location is fairly sheltered from strong wind but does get some wind, especially in winter.

We do have an active deer population in the area so I'm sure it would be subjected to some browsing like our other conifers.

Any thoughts?

I've seen variou smail order nurseries selling small, bareroot specimens but I'd rather purchase a larger tree if possible.

Thanks

Dave
