New Fool

Hi!

I'm new here.

As a surprise event, I bought my first house last year (moved in in August). Faced with a first "yard," and not really having made any plans before as I hadn't expected to be buying a house, I quickly came to the realization that it is conifers which thrill my heart.

So, I ordered a bunch of them in the mail. The problem is, I don't really have enough room. But like some kind of addict, I am mostly denying this as a guaranteed certainty, and still hoping to fit as many of them as I can in my yard.

Here is what sits in pots, newly arrived in the mail:

* Picea pungens Glauca Pendula (size 1)

* Picea breweriana (size 1)

* Picea engelmannii (size 1)

* Pinus contorta latifol. [murrayana] (size 1)

* Pinus ponderosa ("tube" container)

* Pinus aristata (two "tube" containers)

After you tease and mock a bit for watching me try to put such big trees in my small yard, I look forward to any placement (and care) advice you might have. What could I put where? I have nearly no idea what I am doing, and this is such a great forum...I appreciate you sharing your thoughts and taking your time...
