I guess we should be more careful...

Did you have place some items in the shopping cart while visiting a website, not with the intention of submitting an order but as a convenient place to "store" interesting items to be able to compare them, or come back to look at them later, etc...?

Well, I do. Or did, until now. I just a letter in the mail from a dahlia company saying I placed order #xxx and owe them money. No invoice; don't even know what items these are.

I know I did not submit the order. I sent them an email and I hope it will be OK. Just wanting to warn you all if you do the same. They seem to have access to these carts and (surprise!) a filled cart may equal an order submitted, at least in their mind.

Makes no sense to me. BTW, I recently got an email from Park Seed saying that there was something left in my cart for which they offered 10% off. I bought it, just because of the discount. So, companies DO look at carts. I guess we should empty them before leaving a site.
