Very nice!! They look great!

I love the Haworthia 'fairy washboard' in your second pic, it has a nice swirl effect to it. Your burros tail in the last pic it awesome also, nice tight leaves!

It all looks wonderful!

The dish is a great mix of color, shapes, and textures!

I have some baby fairy washboards.. all 1 1/2" of them is so cute. Love it!

Many thanks, cactusmcharris. Your suggestion is very valuable. My intention was to remove the "mother" aloe and any "grown-up" siblings when they would become out of proportion. But if any of them don't "behave" I'll remove them all, as you said. At present, I'm not totally pleased with the top-dressing because I don't have enough of the "earth-colored" gravels. When I can have enough of them, I will remove the other pebbles and crushed rocks. But they stay, just for now. Again, many thanks. Xuan

Yes, if you pinch, it will stay low (and it will backbud and become nice and thick). I have several, and one of those I'm pinching to create a round little mound for a small pot. I don't think you'll have problems with this guy outgrowing the others. Josh

The growers of these succulents from cuttings and seed must get the credit. linda:::::I have seen Debra Lee Baldwin's book on designing and container succulents, If you click LIKE on her Facebook page she often sends great photos. Here are some of my new rocks ready to find a place in the garden,,,,,,,NOW the fun begins. These rounded river rocks may not be the most "natural" fit for succulents, but I sure like them.

How often are you trimming the "pond" portion of the fountain?

Thank you very much for coming along with me on these plantings.

Josh: I keep cutting back the "pool portion" of the fountain whenever I see someone "misbehave"... But I think I will also need to thin them as well since the echeverias and semperviviums at the base are almost covered.

You know what - last month, while moving the "fountain", I carelessly made the top part topple over! Luckily not much damage was done to the burrito, although it fell out of the pot, roots and soil! Whew, learnt my lesson. From then on, when I had to move it, I took the upper part off the base.

JoJo and Mary, I know it sounds cute, even descriptive, but really, Haworthia 'fairy washboards'? I guess you mean that terrific H. limifolia.

Left of that is what looks like Agave victoriae-reginae, but it has very unusual markings. Is this a named cultivar, Xuan?

Your E. 'black prince' is looking very royal. Good growing!

paracelsus: yes, that's Agave victoriae-reginae as identified by some friends here on GW. You know, in my home country, plants are sold un-named so all I have are NOIDs, until some kind people help with ID.

Like the case of that "fairy washboard" - it has no name before today! Many thanks for the Latin name you provided.

And that Black Prince is so dark because "he" has been facing the sun!

Very nice. I love the fountain. Since my burros need repotting I think I'll give a version of this a try. Thanks for the beautiful pictures, and to everyone for the names.
