homemade LED plant-light for wintertime

Hey guys!

Just wanted to share my homemade LED plant light I made myself.

http://imgur.com/a/pp2Fc

Is the album, so you have to copypaste it into your address bar.

My babies haven't been getting nearly enough light and as such they've been stretching a bit...

(Should I whack/cut the ecchies? they're stretched and kinda uh, ugly, or should I wait till spring?)

As far as specs go on this;

One 250 watt server power supply for the juice, 9 (one of the LEDs I have disconnected for temperature safety) 10 watt LED's.

According to my phone's light sensor, it puts out about 50,000 lux in the center of the light, and about 25,000 lux on the outer edges.

Reading a wiki article that puts it in the range of direct sunlight to indirect sunlight power.

As far as temperature goes, it has a beefy heatsink, and two fans that run max speed all the time (the noise is a bit much but...) and the hottest it gets is about 140 degrees Fahrenheit. (most consumer 9 watt LED bulbs can get up to 180 degrees!!)

Not too bad I think!

I hope you guys enjoy.
