Would you mind helping me ID this Fern please ?

Back story: we dug up some Lady Palms from someone selling them on Craigslist last Spring. These little guys came with the package and I tucked them into the ground hoping they would root, and they have. I'm wondering what it might be. We're in coastal central Florida, zone 9B. I have some Boston Ferns that I just purchased and the "veins" along the leaves look somewhat different to me, but I have little to no Fern knowledge beyond, they enjoy shade more than direct light. Any information you have is really appreciated. Thank you so much.

Hi, I'm no expert, but I have collected many ferns. It could be Christmas fern or if they're small, could be deer fern or rock fern. Hope this helps.

Thank you Debrichard. My local agricultural agent said they'd send it away for typing, but I'd have to provide a sample roots and all and I'm waiting for it to spread a bit otherwise I'll destroy the plant just to ID it ;) .

Thank you Arthur and Sambac. Arthur those are gorgeous. Sam, I thought I could get away with ground planting them but the woman at Ace thought that was a bad idea. I looked at the pot they're currently in and thought, "they look fairly content to me ?" I think I'm going to pot them in a nice bark heavy cactus mix combo regardless. Now, one more question. It has gotten quite leggy, can I lop it off or will that kill any potential blooms by cutting off the top ? Also, will those cuttings root, I'm suspecting yes. Thanks so much.

It's probably just a giant swallowtail, but the pale color of the abdomen makes me wonder if it could possibly be a Schaus swallowtail, an endangered species of south Florida that looks VERY much like a giant swallowtail. Nah, it's just a giant swallowtail, but I wish you had a picture of the underside of the butterfly. I guess the shape of yours makes me wonder, too. Sherry

That looks exactly like my "Holly Fern" but I'm just beginning to learn Ferns so don't take my word on it. You can google a search on Holly Fern and check it out youself while you wait for others to reply. Good luck finding out what it is. Barb Southern Ontario, CANADA Zone 6a

Its Blechnum spicant (deer fern). I wouldn't expect to find christmas fern in coastal florida, and the prominent middle vein looks like a blechnum to me.
