My postman came today and did not have a package for me--but being the sweetheart he is he went back to the PO and came back -- there was no package there either. Hopefully I will get it Wed. He said if the package was there he would bring it to me before he runs his route since I am off Wed. Keeping fingers crossed!

Dam*&%^$ Linda I am your SS and that package should have been there by Friday! I'm so upset. If it doesn't get to you by Wed I'm sending another. Even if it does arrive I'm not sure what condition it will be in. Please let me know on Wed. I'm going to send you an email with the address I was given just to make sure it was correct. I'm really sorry about this. I hope you have a Merry Christmas.

Please don't do that! Your intentions were there and I appreciate that immensely! I will email you Wed. and let you know if it comes in and condition. I may have to go to NH soon--my Dad is in the hospital (he's 90!) and has congestive heart problems and pneumonia and they do no have a good prognosis. He also has diabetes and they think he needs his foot amputated but at his age I don't think it is wise. The best present right now is prayers for my Dad. Have a very Merry Christmas and I will let you know something Wed. Not sure what you sent but they may be ok if they get here soon.

I'm sorry to hear about your Dad. I agree that surgery probably isn't in his best interest if he has other medical conditions. How does he feel about it? It's hard watching your parents age. I'll have your family in my thoughts.

Yay! I was so mad at the post office after getting that email from Marian! lol! I had done a Google search for your Post Office & was going to call them if you had not received your package TODAY! :) Thankfully I used the delivery confirmation thingie to know when it arrived. I was really worried about the brugs getting in water - more than anything! lol! Some had roots & some did not. I'm glad you're pleased with the goodies & any info you need on the baggies of seed I sent - just email me! :) They're ALL very hardy & should grow easily for you - especially the varieties of Datura I sent. You should have TONS of Datura seeds next year! lol! It was fun playing your Secret Santa Kristy & I had a ball doing it! Merry Christmas to you & yours!

I am sorry the post office messed up your delivery Gloria and I will say a prayer for your father. I hate to see anyone have to go through these things as we age. I had to actually get a supervisor called in to find my package at the post office. It had gotten lost somewhere in the building but I knew it was there and so did they so they called him in after I was acting like a fool in the lobby, lol. He finally found that one. Then they said the one I was expecting from SJN had gotten taken on the mail route which made me more mad because I had put a hold on my mail so I could pick it up and not have it left at the shop. I went there 3 times today and called twice. The guy that finally found my last package I promised a fishing trip for him and his wife since he had asked about my shirt I had on. It was from the tournament I won last year. I was so happy I told him my husband and I will take them both fishing whenever they want to go. Maybe now I will get better mail service since I made a friend at the post office, lol. Mike, all the cutting look great except for the Equador white. The bottom half looks fine and has roots but the top half has that wrinkled wet shriveled look that I associate with death, lol. No I don't want you to replace it I just want to know if there is anything special I can do for that one to save it. I have had the same happen to a few of my rooted cuttings that have been potted up for a while and it seems once it starts from the top it goes all the way down. Anyone have any advise for such a thing? The smooth cuttings make me nervous. It seems like all the good kinds are like that. I have had the best luck just leaving them in water for a day or two then putting them in soil. Nubbies or not. Is tha what you would recommend? It seems like the more knotty they are the easier they root, lol. Mike you went way beyond with all those cuttings. I really appreciate them. My window sill if full again, lol. I will ask you about some of the flower seeds later that I'm not familiar with. I just got home and its 3am and I have to have a full lunch cooked my noon tomorrow. Can you say we will be eating late, lol. I just love all of you and hope you all have a blessed Christmas.

The Ecuador White - just snip off the bad top, mist every other day, & pray! :) I've done that a few times & it seems to work - as new shoots may eventually come up from the soil & new leaves can appear. I NEVER throw one out - no matter how badly it looks. They seem to surprise me with new growth from the soil even when I think they're dead. lol! As we all know - you want to put the energy into root development. Remember how small & squatty the 'Xena' cutting was?? :) Not much there - but you got her going! And don't let the 'smooth cuttings' scare you!! lol! Those were from my actual plants I got from Country Garden. I have them over-wintered in the plant room & yes, they look smooth, but have potential! You may lose some, but we all lose some on occasion. Just do your best! Herrenhauser Garten may give you a run for your money - as I've never cut on him before (he'll be 3 this summer) & I'm not sure how he'll do (in water or potting mixture). Maybe Mark (trigger) can 'chime' in and give us a few pointers. I wish it were summer & I could have cut & sent you more 'woodie' cuttings! lol! I'm thinking of Spring again! The Vixen, Cuba, and Apricot Queen were just babies when I got them in the fall! lol! They're not much bigger than cuttings themselves! Wish they were though. I had to 'SNIP' what I could get off of them to share with Kristy. :) I mean seriously - What kind of Secret Santa would I have been if I didn't snip a few? lol! A 'Culebra' - you're after my heart!! :) And an 'Adeline' & a 'Sam'?? Yes - heck yes! My heart is yours! :) And Happy New Year right back at you!!

Ya got it!!! See how low I'll go- offering you something I've alredy promised ya to bribe ya out of some cuttings!! LOL!

I guess I might really have to bid on that next batch of TC's eBay cuttings!!

I rooted the green Culebra cuttings in a deep 20 oz styro cup, 4 drainholes, 1.5" of good perlite amended soil, lightly damp. I stuck in the cuttings and covered with a baggie- 3 out of 4 made it, and are growing nicely! Time to repot!

Don't you dare feel badly! lol! It's something that needed to be done - snip, snip, & more snipping! They actually needed to be cut BEFORE I brought them in - just couldn't bring myself to do it! I remember the day I started cutting my inground brugs for trades & postage - worst moment I think I've ever had was when I saw what was left of them in the end. Yet - I think we all go through that period - don't we? :) I think it's called the 'love, obsession, & addiction' to these great plants that we love so much! And you have MORE cuttings you're holding onto? What to do? What to do? :) Thank you is all I can say & then wonder where I'm going to put them! lol! I'll find a spot - somewhere!
