It's begginning to look a lot like Christmas

That bad word SNOW.

it's snowing out, but it's still early. usually like the middle of Dec. but my brugs are snug in the basement.

my girlfriend gave me about 30 1 gal pots, they are almost all used up for clippings, they are rooting really well

this year, now I have to buy more potting soil.

we are use to snow, do you get snow or does it just get cold
where you are. by Christmas here it could sometimes be up to 51 degrees. then snow up to 2ft in feb. but if we don't have snow & a hard freeze, the bugs wouldn't be killed

I'm thankful for ... ...finally being able to have a full-time garden. No more traveling from NYC to MA to garden, then having to leave after a week and not come back for a month or two. ...being able to save shrubs and trees and plants that grew up with me, and seeing them thrive in a new setting. ...the >10' tall winterberry which is covered with red berries. The leaves are now gone and its feet are encircled with fuzzy seedheads from the white wood asters. The blue jays and cardinals fly in and out of the winterberry taking turns at the birdfeeder as if they know how pretty they look there with the red berries. All this is visible from my kitchen window too. ...having free rein to design and plant anything I want in a totally new garden setup. ...having planted everything in time (I think) and having the garden all buttoned up for the winter. Just have to wrap the new Osmanthus Goshikis with burlap. ...having the hope of a brand new garden exploding into life next spring. ...still being able to dig and carry and plant, even if the back grumbles a bit. ...the houseplants that stayed outside this summer and came inside when it got cold. Well its still snowing on this side of Williamsburg! Just hoping my younger daughter gets back here from FL ok. She left there this morning and when I talked to her about an hour ago, she was somewhere in NC. The rest of the kids are supposed to come down here tomorrow for our Christmas.

We have been getting the lake effect here for a few weeks now. It has been hanging around on the ground because it will usually flurry a little bit every day if it is not heavily snowing. The rain yesterday helped to melt some so it is patchy on the ground, but the rain froze on the roads. I think they are ok now but it is supposed to snow some more this week :( I want spring to come!

isn't it time we should think about moving south, but some parts in the south they still have to worry about the dreaded frost, I was amazed last year when Atlanta Georgia had the same weather as we did, My DD live just north of Georgia, it was 30 degrees, same as our 30 degrees, I was shocked

LOL that would be nice to move south wouldn't it? I can deal with the frost, I can even deal with the snow and the cold, I just hate driving on slippery roads. If the snow and Ice would miraculously stay off the roads I wouldn't complain (as much, lol).

Not that much snow. We got snow last April I think it was. Easter never the less. I think lol. I got a bad memory moment rofl.

In germany I used to work outdoors in the winter, snow all the time. Riding a bicyle lol. Glad that is over roflmao Cause I sure got used to the texas weather now.

Germany, My SOL was in the Army thats where they we at
I wished I had the money to go visit her my mothers family
was from Germany, my DD said when she got back mom you look German, she said I would have fit right in. Imagine
