I have tried everything today to try and get something that will show what I am talking about so I did a rough drawing with one of the kitchen designs to give a idea what I mean...and it is a rough drawing for sure...the window is wider than what it looks. So Question is....Do I keep the 21" cabinet instead of getting the 24"? If so I will have 2" on either side of windows (with or with out facing) and 3" on far side of cabinet wall on the left....the right side turns into a corner cabinet. Also...Do I leave window sill at counter level as it is now..Or build up 2 to 4" and then add window sill....whether it be granite or wood? Wish I had a better visual...just couldn't get anything to work today!

I am needing to size a water softening and whole house filtering system for my home and there are many different approaches I have found on the web with different values, peak vs. average flow rates, etc. Based on the feedback I have read thus far from Justalurker and aliceinwonderland_id on this site I am leaning towards a Fleck softening system but not sure which one. Also looking for ideas on a whole home filtering system based on the below test results. We live in Anchorage, Alaska and we just bought a 6000 sqft., 3 bed 3.5 bath house with 3 people living in it (wife, 2.5 yr old daughter, and myself). All appliances are high efficiency Frigidaire Professional series, Triangle Tube Prestige Water heater, etc. A recent water test was performed by a local sales company and the basic results are as follows: TDS: 125 ppm Hardness: 10 gpg pH 7.0 Total Alkalinity 120 ppm Total Iron 0.1 ppm Total Manganese 0.2 ppm Coliform: Neg colonies/100mL Nitrate: 5.09 mg/L Arsenic: ND ug/L Let me know if any additional information is needed in order to provide any recommendations. When you have a lot of fruit, you will get some yellowing of leaves. Keep doing what you are doing; but do try to control ants. If you have aphids on your lemon, you have ants; control the ants, you will control the aphids. Harvesting your lemons will help the tree; and I wouldn't worry about fertilizing again now or soon. Meyers need a lot of a good citrus food with Magnesium and Calcium, applied at the dripline of the tree and watered in deep to prevent the grass from stealing it.
