Suggestions needed for attractive foliage Clematis..

Can anyone tell me if this exists..? A Clematis which is fairly vigorous and will be a mass of attractive, dark foliage on a 6 foot trellis? (Reason it needs to be dark is that it needs to grow next to a Loropetalum 'Fire Dance' shrub, which clashes wonderfully with anything bright green.)

It's a slightly shady spot, which may help leaf colour, though rules out goodies like C. armandii. Also mauve or dark purple flowers would be superb, but I could cope with other colours.

I don't suppose that particular combination exists? Would be forever grateful for some suggestions.. am hoping I don't have to resort to a montana, as that would get a bit too big. :)
