Hope everone is getting out of bed on time. To go out and do what needs to be done and what you like to do.

BE SAFE...OUR TX WEATHER REPORT...windy, stormy and here under tornado watch. I would love to hear how your weather is treading you.

Today's picture would not be possible if it was not for you guys. I have never thought about bringing some plants I grow outside. To the inside. Learned it here

Pretty Hibiscus Lucy!!! I'm still up---too excited to go to sleep with all this snow on the ground---and on all my plants!!!! :0 Oh well...time to change out the tropical inventory next spring! I'm keeping my fingers crossed on the larger tropicals---but I'm sure things like the bananas will turn to mush! The snow came so fast and early in the evening that we didn't have a chance to move those huge pots with palms, bouganvillas, hibiscus, & such-oh well. They'll be back from the roots (I hope...) come spring! But my brug cuttings, plumies, bromeliads, and a pineapple are safely tucked away in the heated 'manspace'--except my three under the covered patio: Snowbank, Sweetheart, and a pink NOID that I have had for a few years. It is still blooming with fallen snow decorating the tree branches behind it--a gorgeous sight!!! A Kodak moment in my mind!! Nice. Thanks Lucy. Good Night!! ~MJ

Eloise I am sorry that I only know that they are Castor beans. That is a plant that reseeded itself year after year while I was gone and when I came back I planted just ONE in that corner and the frost got it night before last and it is a goner now. I am still hoping thou that the seeds might still develope. Anybody knows if they would still be viable? I always come back and read all your postings, just sometimes I forget to come back again and answer if there is a question lol. sorry. Kylie I let you know in a bit how cold it is here today. now we are going down memory lane, on youtube!! LOL so we are the cool parents!!! we listen to heavy metal, LOL and rock, LOL tabor said, ahhh man your the bomb!!! of course now its twisted sister and ratt. i like them and quiet riot. then hubs goes do you remember dio?? i was like ohhh ya. dang that was years ago. we were pretty softer compared to you though!! LOL then i found out he liked metallica, i was like awesome!! dude way cool!! we did have something in common!! unlike everything else we have in common, right?? LOL tabor totally loves alice cooper!! LOL he's totally a freak!! LOL ok, tomarow i should be getting my seeds in the mail. i am so excited. i think i might grow them on my porch, LOL then it'll be pretty much protected AND it'll be full sun!! LOL and sfg!!! my hubs will think i'm nuts, but ummmm... what's new???? LOL i'm like always nuts anyhow!!! LOL then when my gh is done, i'll grow a bunch of stuff in there, and it's gonna definately be protected!! The peaches are from a 1960s slide I scanned. The picture was taken in the Fort Valley, GA area. My Daddy had/has cousins there that own peach orchards and a packing plant. We had gone to visit and the peaches in those baskets were hand picked for us to take home. I guess I grew on the wrong "branch" of the family. I'd love to own an orchard. Linda

Good morning! Our weather is 26 & cloudy with a chance of freezing rain today. Tomorrow up to 60 with rain. Thurs. back down into the 20's!Argh!

Good morning! Love your oxalis...I love coloured/colourful leaves on plants.
The weather is warming up a bit today. Still lots of snow as it has been snowing for a couple of days, but today is going to be milder at an expected high of 4(c) or about 39(f). It is 2(c) right now (35(f)) and it is supposed to rain on top of all the snow..it should be a lovely mess when it goes back to freezing on Wednesday. :)
At least I don't have to rush out this morning as it is my day off. I hope to get out and do some Christmas shopping though.

Pretty oxalis. Looks as nice indoors as it does outside.

We had gorgeous spring like weather yesterday (73 degrees) then last night we got thunderstorms but luck out and no tornados formed. Then today around noon the temp has been constantly dropping and getting down to 29 with chance of rain here in the DFW area. I couldn't bare it and took the remaining plants out of the ground and put them in the shed and garage. Now the only thing I have left in the back yard are periwinkles, marigolds, and ruellia. Looks so naked back there. On the bright side, things should start greening up in a couple of months. Can't wait.

Deb you are right. It got COLD brrrrrrrrrrrrr here raining. Not sure if it is only rain and not sleet also. I am NOT going outside. But I finally took the cuttings I got into the HOUSE. Now they are resting on my sons bed lol. But it is suppose to get under 30 and my garage is not really sealed at doors. The wind just blows right in.

Otherwise it was a gorgous day like you said..until WAM from one minute to the next the weather changed drastically.

You all stay safe out there.

Eloise yes it is so pretty! I need to get me more in. Just love the purple everywhere.

Denise how long have you had yours in the hanging basket? Do they stay growing and blooming all the time?

It is time to break out the Gluehwein rofl. That will warm me up. Gladly share a cup with you all.

Lucy,my oxalis are in 8in hbs.they been in them for 2or3 months.every 4or5months i seperate them in to more basket. I do have one big one in a clay pot.Mine are blooming,pretty pink flowers.

Thanks Denise. Mine bloom pink also and they just look so fragile! I will do the seperating and make a hbs. Have that one empty spot to hang it and it will look gorgeous there.
