Good morning my friends.

I changed my MO. I am posting the picture before I go to bed rofl.

It was so exciting to read on on hand that MJ has only had snow where she lives Twice in 30 Years. See, never give up! Eventually we get what we wish for.

I wish for spring to be here! lol

Just when you think that it will be dark and gloomy until the sun rises again and warms our souls. There emerges a new beautiful blossom!

Pretty Hibiscus Lucy!!!

I'm still up---too excited to go to sleep with all this snow on the ground---and on all my plants!!!! :0 Oh well...time to change out the tropical inventory next spring! I'm keeping my fingers crossed on the larger tropicals---but I'm sure things like the bananas will turn to mush! The snow came so fast and early in the evening that we didn't have a chance to move those huge pots with palms, bouganvillas, hibiscus, & such-oh well. They'll be back from the roots (I hope...) come spring! But my brug cuttings, plumies, bromeliads, and a pineapple are safely tucked away in the heated 'manspace'--except my three under the covered patio: Snowbank, Sweetheart, and a pink NOID that I have had for a few years. It is still blooming with fallen snow decorating the tree branches behind it--a gorgeous sight!!! A Kodak moment in my mind!! Nice.

Talk about being early....lol Love this pic. I believe I do see Santa. LOL OH NOOOOO!!!!! Only 15 days...I'm not even close to being ready. I better get it in gear. Think I'll wait a couple of day though, after this cold front clears out. Can you believe that there was snow in Dallas? Just some flurries but it is downright cold. 29 degrees and the wind is brutal. Heard that Austin had sleet and snow also. Everyone stay warm and have cheery day. Deb

Good morning....just a quick pop in to see the pic of the day and say hi! I slept in until 7:30 and have a ton of stuff to do before work. I do get a couple of minutes to sit and drink my coffee ...right? My Christmas preparation is WAY behind. Only two DGKs finished and four more to go,...plus all the others!!! Yikes! Eloise I am sorry that I only know that they are Castor beans. That is a plant that reseeded itself year after year while I was gone and when I came back I planted just ONE in that corner and the frost got it night before last and it is a goner now. I am still hoping thou that the seeds might still develope. Anybody knows if they would still be viable? I always come back and read all your postings, just sometimes I forget to come back again and answer if there is a question lol. sorry. Kylie I let you know in a bit how cold it is here today. OH....belated Happy B'day Suzanne! I've been 'off board' and will be more or less over the next couple of weeks with my job. Thanks Patti for the addresses. I will be working on my cards soon - yippeeeee! I know not everyone reads on Sunday so I will write all my news on notepad and post it all tomorrow! Keeping myself more than busy these days and starting a few new ventures. Today is rec room clear out/Peggy's craft/sewing center setup. I can't work anymore with my stuff everywhere and this house looks like a football team ran through it with piles of stuff here and there - AGAIN! AAAAauuuuggghhhhh! So getting it all in a designated zone - off the kitchen table area, away from my couch area where I sit and out of the bedroom where I throw stuff I have bought for projects...it should make a huge difference and much easier to clean up around here. Also mentally make me feel a world better. Clutter is depressing. We moved the 2 large dressers waiting for pick up from my Mom's estate to the workshop and I've emailed everyone to let them know since they have not picked them up they are moved outside into the workshop until someone comes and gets them. I also clearly noted that I am not responsible for any water/humidity damage that may occur if they are not picked up. I would not put it past a 'dear' sibling to pull this one over nothing at all given the opportunity. So that is that and the other huge couch-chair was hauled to the charity shop yesterday with another 2 huge bags of stuff. Now I just have to dismantle a dilapidated old pull out couch for the garbage but that will be another weekend. I'm happy with the space at present. So that's me. I'm off to go play in my new space - er - fold up, box up, put away the stuff in there PROPERLY and set up for my projects. Stay tuned, more news tomorrow! Lots of love to all of my pals here - I miss ya when I am not here everyday...not enough hours right now. Peggy

Beautiful hibiscus Lucy!!!!! I haven't been around much this week.....final week I have taken 2 and have one more to go tonight! Then I am free!!!! That is until the next semester starts in Jan!

MJ sorry to hear about your plants but I know you were excited about seeing snow. It doen't snow here much either so I get that same excitement every time it does. It was six years ago when we had enough snow to actually cover the ground and had enough to make a small snowman. My DD had only seen snow here one other time. She was in high school and I got her an early dismissal from school and then we came home and made a family of snowmen. LOL I know that was kind of crazy but we had so much fun and it's a good memory. It has snowed one time since but she's at college and missed that one. Hope you all had an awesome time playing in the snow and made some great memories.

Mary, hope you ace your test then just set back and relax tonight.

youknow I always read. But I think as it gets closer to x mas, computer time will have the short end of it :-(
