I joined the GW 1 year ago today. my Christmas was made so much better by the Nice people on this Forum

I just want you to know you're the Best.

I will post a follow up complete with pic's of the nicest

presents I have recieved

I hope everyone has just the best Christmas ever as you have went out of your way to make mine so much better

It just is such a joy to watch things grow from almost nothing at times. Breaking through sometimes even the hardest obsticles from the previous year's seeds that were left behind. Walking a few minutes through the *little* gardenplaces I so far was able to make since last year and seeing new growth, a new blossom, that is energizing .........and it goes and goes and goes *lol* Kylie I am sure we share the passion for Gardening and YES WOW having found another person in the same CITY loving brugs....YES I feel lucky go happy. Then coming in from working on another flower/vegetable bed, sitting down a few minutes and reading posts and getting to know each one of you better post by post......is just as relaxing. Thanks to everybody.

First I want to say thank you to all of you for your support and suggestions. Thanks David for the links for the medicine. Thanks Annette for the other link. I will be checking them out. I tried checking out costco too so thanks for that Kylie. I never could pull up anything with their actual prices for drugs at todays cost. Because ya'll have all shown so much care and support you have brought me to tears. That's not a bad thing, it just makes me feel good to know that others truely care about my health. Kind of makes me feel loved. (Big Fat Smile) Beth your cannas went out today. I'm sorry to say that I had to write on the sides of the cannas what they were. By the time I got to that I forgot what one of them was. LOL I told you I was old and forgetful. Anyway each clump is a different canna. The clumps are large enough that you should be able to make several plants out of some of them. I hope you enjoy them. You other people that I owe plants they will go out Monday if it's dry enough for me to get into the beds. If not it will have to wait a few more days. We rode the fence line today only to discover we had alot of trees down everywhere and several places we're going to have to repair to keep the horses from getting out. I am thankful for my faith that keeps me in line and fills my heart with love for others, I am for my Husband of 15 years which we hit in Nov., My 2 beautiful children,dirt, seeds, water and rain, my greenhouse and a roof over our heads which we own. I am thankfull foreverone here and all who dont mind holding a door or who dont mind smiling even when they dont feel good. I am thankfull to peope who still love to share and give because they remeber there is more happiness in giving than reciveing. I am Thankful for food tht is easily found and clean water as well as friends to share it with. I am thankful that a dog is man and womens best friend bescuase face it they are easier to get along with. LOL I can keep going but just want to say everyone always keep in mind how good you do have things and that it can always be so much worse even when you are @ your lowest point. Smile its good excerise.. Dont get stressed with the rushes of Dec. and always love your others enough for the both of you.

Wendy, I was so saddened to hear that your father was again diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer, only to be shocked of his sudden passing. Your love for him is demonstrated in that though your heart is broken beyond comprehension, you are happy for him that he is at peace and pain free. Though he isn't here physically with you, he will always be with you where ever you go because he will always reside within your heart. You are in part the person you are because of who he is. None of us are ready to loose a parent. You read from those that have already lost a parent (I lost both of mine - my mom 3 days after my 35 b-day) and one of the things they tell you is how old they were...it's life changing. My DH lost his DM in Feb and I remember when I held him in my arms as he wept. There are no words that can be said or anything anyone can do to ease the loss for those that are suffering. Life is likely getting back to "normal" which feels in itself abnormal. The normalcy though will come and thoughts of your Dad as you busy yourself with your family will come about. He will be there giving you the strength to not only cope with the loss of his passing, but through life. Now he is that much closer in spirit.

Hi everyone,
New here to this forum. Needed escape from 2 other forums, not great vibes going on in both. I live in Northern Calif. and am preparing for my first garden up here! Thanks to rosepedal for steering me to meet you all. I've never planted brugs but now that I'm here I'm sure I will have to give it a try. : )

Thanks for sharing your brugs with me Elizabeth...So far, they are growing great!!...Everyone has been so kind and fun to "be" around...Lots of great laughs and support.

Here's to a very prosperious 2009 and may all your plants fluorish (sp?) beyond control....lol
