Succulent Id Help, Please

quimoi

I really apologize for no photo but I suspect this is common. However, I can't find it anywhere.

I suppose the plant was my mom's and when I found it, she had been dead 7 years and it looked like it hadn't been watered for 7 years. It had been a fairly large plant, but the only green was at the very end. I cut it off and managed to start it.

It looks a lot like an aloe but all the aloe photos show "teeth" or bumps along the edges and this is smooth. It is medium green with kind of zig-zag light markings but they are not raised like haworthias (mom used to grow those). The base of the first one is now about 1-1/2" and it has put out a smaller one. It's in a small crock.

The "leaves" are creased, v-shaped, especially when they are young and they are very fleshy.

I hope someone can at least point me in the right direction. I'm so sorry about no photo.
