Many thanks everyone for the kind comments! I really appreciate them. Bug, yes that is a variegated Buddleia. The slugs havenÂt been as bad as in previous years. I think the heat and dry doesnÂt do them any good so at least this weather has been good for something. Kathy, no filters here. IÂve been researching what IÂd like to pick up first. I just use my Adobe Lightroom program to equalize the levels and that fixes a lot of problems in shooting in full sun. Anita, I actually have five brugmansias and the one in this shot is a white one I got as a cutting from Sue several years ago. Cyn, yes I built the stone walls. What else would one do with all those rocks that were dug out when I planted things? LOL Michelle, I SO understand the dilemma with the Sutherland Gold. I gave up on mine a few years ago when most of the tree died off the weekend before we were going to have company to see the gardens. I love my cotinus! Great topic, and I think we need to do another one in mid July when things are really growing! Mine pales in comparison, but you have to realize that this garden is only a month old. We built a new addition to the house which meant a new garden from scratch. It looks better in person than the pictures. Once our humongus crepe myrtle are in bloom, along with the other wild flowers, it will look so much better!

Great pics guys! Love seeing the peaches you have growing in your gardens ;-) -blondiesc, nice daylily and balloon flower combo! I have a daylily similar to that called 'Abstract Art'. Never thought I would like such a pale color, but now it is my favorite! -GGG, forgot about the peach colored 'Cameo' quince! I love that thing. I got a tiny start from a patch of them in town years ago, but was lucky enough to find a bigger one for $10 this spring! I would love to see your Peach Bed sometime... -Cindy, those are really nice Dahlias- particularly like that 'Gabrielle Marie'. No, don't have any dahlias. Had a whole bunch of them at one time, but hated having to dig them up every year. I am such a lazy gardener, LOL! CMK

Very beautiful. I enjoyed all of your photos. I like the mixing with other perennials, especially the blue ones, and the daisies and the zinnias and dusty miller are pretty. I notice that some of your beds are partially shaded by trees, and are still thriving beautifully. I guess that gardening in Florida is quite different from here in Delaware as far as the sunshine is concerned. My other observation is that your gardens are not overcrowded. That is my worst gardening fault, I just try to cram too much into a space that is too small, and I never seem to learn. But when the plants have enough space, the effect is more serene, as in your pictures. Christine
