Hi, I went to Home Depot earlier and they had a bunch of C&S and of course I found the the weirdest looking succulent I could possibly find, and bought it. I have a few questions (because Home Depot never labels anything) about this odd little succulent. FIRST OF ALL (and most importantly)... (1) What's the name of this plant? (2) What are the temperature ranges, (3) Do they need A LOT of sun or a little bit, (4) How often should I water it, (5) Is this an easy plant to care for or a hard one, (6) How long do these plants live, (7) Could someone give me an estimate of how old mine might be, (8) How can you propagate these, (9) Do they clump, (10) Do they grow branches, (11) How old do they have to be to mature, (12) How old to they have be and when do they flower, (13) Do they grow fast, (14) How tall do they get, (15) Do they get thorns, (15) Did I cover it all? *breathes heavily after asking all these questions*

ANY ANSWERS AND/OR ADVICE WOULD BE APPRECIATED!!!!!

1. Austrocylindropuntia subulata.

2. Despite being a high-altitude species it is a bit sensitive to cold, the leaves can fall off at "fridge temperatures", and they are said not to be frost-hardy (I have not tried myself).

3. Yes, they like sun.

4. Depends so much on heat, humidity etc. As many opuntioids they want more water in summer than most other cacti. If the leaves shrivel it is time to water.

5. Easy (for a cactus).

6. Don't know, probably several decades.

7. No, because it looks like it has been grown from a cutting.

8. Cuttings!

9+10. Yes, they offset, both at the base and higher up.

11+12 (what is the difference between maturity and flowering size?). It is not as much the age as the size. I'm not sure of exactly how big they need to be. They do flower in cultivation, but they don't come as easily as on many other opuntioids.
1. Oh yes.
2. In nature up to 4 meters.
3. With time, yes.

Probably a Kalanchoe blossfeldiana that really needs more light etc. These are commonly sold as a potted flowering plant and frequently asked about on the internet.

Graptopetalum paraguayense aka Ghost plant:). These can color up real nice if given the right amount of sun. They turn every color of the rainbow.
