Hello Lucy! Beautiful Desert Rose, hope mine will bloom one day. We made it back. It was a sad but good trip. All of DH brothers and his sister made it in for the funeral. DH's brother was a member of the "Rolling Thunder" Its a motor cycle group of Vets. They lead the procession. It sure was something to see. All those bike and flags flying! Anyway Waiting to let you know we are home safe and sound. A lot to catch up on. Have not even started on the emails. LOL Big Hugs Dorothy

Well I could have waited a little longer...but I just do not want to spend days on the garden if we would get bad weather during the time all the kids and grandkids are home. That does not happen very often, that they are all home at the same time. So this year...it was fine with me :-) Besides....I have a Santa Rosa bloom on a cutting going at it in the green room. lol Lucy

Jillbean, - everybody suggests that to me. HOWEVER: There are two good reasons why not to have another puppy and I would always have two, for company. No. 1--- after retiring, I found many distractions for myself. I am lucky to have found many new friends, and I'm gone "celebrating life" almost every day of the week. So the puppies would be home alone a lot. No. 2---- I'm getting up there in age. If I should die before my pets, what would happen to them? Maybe someone would take one, but what about the other? They would be separated, they would be miserable, they would "fly" from one place to the other. - Not a good life. I have my memories. I still cry when I get to talking about my Lucy and Carly. But hey, I got a NEW "upper" in my life now: Brugmansias. And thank the Lord that I found this forum, I cherish being able to connect to all of you. Thank you. Ingrid

That is a display at the Austin Airport :-) But it did not occur to me until a while later, that Austin is the country music city just like Nashville lol
