Dottie, Thanks for asking this question. I have the exact same situation...gorgeous, lush green/no blooms...and was wondering the same thing.

I'm growing it in a pot this year in full sun and mine is just starting to bloom now.

Glad to hear that mine is not the only slacker. :) Still waiting for the blooms, very slow to put out growth this year, but now it looks promising. . .

I have several plants and none of it is in bloom, but my friend in South Charlotte has hers blooming. She is always ahead of me.

I'm thinking mine isn't getting enough sun but it was the one spot that gets adequate moisture in a dry bed.
With any luck(weather)it will bloom before frost.
Hmm..just thinking , probably good it's not blooming because it's grown half across a stairway from the porch.
The hummingbirds and carpenter bees will fight over the blooms I'm sure. And, I'm going to need to use a different door for a while (allergic to stings).

Mine is just starting to bloom also. Seems like last year it was in full bloom by this time.

I always give mine a dose of miracle grow right when they start to bloom..and they bloom beautifully.

I'm glad you asked. I planted some that a friend gave me last year, and have been wondering where the blooms are! Many of my plants seemed delayed in blooming this year, but I am just learning the area so I don't know yet what is "normal".
