Neem oil and succulents

I've had a problem with aphids, on a rubber plant, and was advised to wash with dish soap and water. This seemed to work well. It was also suggested that Neem oil is good for preventative measures.

Is Neem oil safe to use on succulents? I have a large Jade plant, a small ZZ plant, and a tiny baby Sansevieria. None of them have ever shown any signs of pests at all, so far, but if Neem oil is good for prevention, does that also apply to succulents? I'm worried that if my other plants get pests, as my rubber plant has, then they will spread. So far, though, there is no sign of them on the plants I mentioned. And is it a good idea to 'wash' the leaves of succulents every now and then?
