I figured this thread might help a little too. That way we can see how much we need to push for everybody that did not speak up yet about the SS exchange wants and haves and I care or not care what I get posts.

I got all the information I need to make my SS buddy happy. I hope

I don't think some people who signed up have even been visiting the forum. They prob don't know they are supposed to be posting thier wants. Maybe kylie could give them all a heads up email lol.

Dorothy it is the same. Mine looked just like it when it was baby spinach lol I rarely look at the leaves though. Because the blooms are just gorgeous how it looks hanging over the top. It grows SO FAST it is not funny. Got to nib it back a lot. Mine gets LOTS of water...of COURSE>..it is ME we are talking about hahahahaha and is in the ground. thanks Susan and Joyce. Joyce does that sound like I found a taker for a plant I can share with you when I did em up? that is if the cats leave me some. I swear some are so bare and show no re growth what so ever :-( yet. Dave what great pics! Did you meet anyone besides Bush? This was nothing like that. When your children are invited you know it's not going to be anything sophisticated. lol Pat it was all sweets, not to my liking but the kids enjoyed it. I didn't really take that many pics. There wasn't a whole lot to photograph and I had no idea who any of the people were that were there except for the one that invited us. I might have ended up taking pics of Joe the plumber. lol I've been to more impressive affairs at the French and Netherlands embassy holiday parties. Bruce did mention that I was disappointed that I didn't get to see more. I wasn't trying to sound ungrateful but I really would have enjoyed seeing the "flower shop". That's the reason for our connection to begin with. And believe it or not I really wanted to see the main kitchen (ok I'm weird lol) and the West Wing. Most of the other areas I've seen on a tour. Bruce said that arrangements would be made for me to at least visit the flower shop. It's not a "shop" but there are 3 full time designers and a floral studio in the WH.

Thanks all. Karyn, I did read that you have to use either rain water or distilled water. I always have distilled water for ironing (yes, I do iron some things, LOL!). I couldn't resist buying the plant. It was $10 so if it doesn't make it, I won't feel like I lost a lot. I should hang it right over my brug cuttings now that I brought them into the laundry room and see if it will eat some of the gnats! Read that the more light they get, the redder the bloom gets. Hi, Sandy! I'm Bonnie, and I live in "dirt"... uh, I mean Silt. Spend a lot of time in Rifle, since we don't have a grocery store, or much else for that matter, but as you said we are growing fast due to the gas industry. I'm glad we bought a house on the north side of the river, as the wells seem to be mostly on the south side ... for now anyway. Welcome to the RMG forum! Have you been gardening here long?

I would have loved to do the SS but at Christmas time I get so wrapped up in Toys for Tots and the food drive that I fear for lack of concentration to do SS justice. Last year I tried the Christmas card exchange and I ended up getting a couple of boxes of plain ole ordinary cards to send. Was disappointed in myself but, I did what I could.

And remember... food drives usually begin around the first of November and food pantries are running bare due to storms and economy. Please pick up some extras at the grocery store!
