Yes, Skybird, I am in Silt (yeah as in dirt, LOL). We ARE tiny, but they are currently building several subdivisions (including ours), so I expect our population to double in the next couple of years. Good for the property values, bad for those of us that like the small town feel.

Skybird, I'm in Cedar Hills, which is northeastern Utah Valley. We're just east of American Fork and Highland, right at the foot of the beautiful Wasatch Mountains! It's 35 miles from here to downtown SLC (I commute there every day).

That seems to be happening everywhere these days. Denver itself hardly qualified as a "city" when I moved out here in 64, and now........ Well, I dont even have words! Im having fun looking you all up on my maps! My Utah map is old, and it didnt have either Cedar Hills or Highland, but I found American Fork! Ive driven right by you four times since 2000! I had to drive out to SFO right after training in 2000 since I wound up based out there, and then a bunch of us got furloughed after 9-11 and I had to drive back home againthen when we got recalled six months later I drove back to SFO again, and when my transfer finally came through the end of 03 I had to get my car back to DEN againbut that time I broke my kneecap just before I had to drive back. I enjoy driving, but that time it was NOT fun! Too bad I didnt know you when I came back after 9-11. Since I was temporarily unemployed, I made a vacation out of it that time and spent a few days in Yosemite and a couple other Natl. Parks on the way back, and I could have stopped by for a tour of the Utah Valleyalthough I didnt know it was called that back then!

Pacu, I checked and I do have you down on the list as Larkspur. I put you in the "south of Denver, Castle Rock area" group. Since youre right in the middle between DEN and COS, would you rather be listed with the COS group, or do you want to stay where I have you?

I'm in Springville which is just south of Provo. My husband works in downtown SLC and its about an hour drive. We were thinking of moving closer, but the price of homes here (both Utah Valley and SLC area) have gone up like crazy this past year. I'm glad we already owned a home!

Hi, Sandy! I'm Bonnie, and I live in "dirt"... uh, I mean Silt. Spend a lot of time in Rifle, since we don't have a grocery store, or much else for that matter, but as you said we are growing fast due to the gas industry. I'm glad we bought a house on the north side of the river, as the wells seem to be mostly on the south side ... for now anyway. Welcome to the RMG forum! Have you been gardening here long?
