Zipper Spiders

A couple of dozen Orb weaver or Zipper spiders are taking over my flower beds. Don't like to use pesticides, been knocking down the webs. I read that they lay between 400 to 1000 eggs a year. It bothers me when I see a butterfly caught in their web. Should I be concerned with over population of these black and yellow spiders?
