Try Black Gold Alfalfa Meal. It's processed so that it has a 3-1-2 analysis. Many other brands just have nitrogen. Kevin : )

Agway is nuts! Just mix the fertilizer well in the bottom of the hole & throw about 1/2" of soil on top before you put the tuber in. If 10-20-20 doesn't burn the plants- & it doesn't- then 5-10-10 won't! Don't put the fertilizer in the ground early- the Nitrogen will be all gone before you plant. Just throw it all in the hole, mix really well, add a little soil then plant the tuber. The feeder roots will hit the fertilizer about a month later & give the plant the boost it needs. Ellie

If you are that close to Farmville than that is the best idea. They have many warehouses on the same lot. I went to the Greenfront in Manassas which is much smaller and just one warehouse. They have plenty of Turkish rugs, rugs from Nepal and elsewhere as well as furniture. Friends of mine have bought beautiful rugs there in Manassas 3 or 4 years ago. When I was there this last year they had many 10'x 14' along with 4'x 6' which I wanted and other sizes. I had no idea where you lived but I have wanted to go to Farmville. Their prices are very good. You will come home with something. I live in Alexandria and they would charge me in Manassas about $150 to deliver. It is a 4 hour drive for me to Farmville and actually found rugs at Bloomingdales yearly sale which is a good one if you are near by. I have Pottery Barn rugs too and they will sell you a sample for about $30 bucks and if you send it back they return your money which you probably already know. I like to give a shout out to good companies. I'd like feedback if you go to Farmville. Good luck

As I wrote, the problem with some manifolds is that unscrewing the hose has a good chance of unscrewing the manifold's own connector instead. The connector is then stuck in the hose and, being perfectly round and smooth, can not be removed. That the usage of tape, maybe, increases that chance is not important -- the danger is still there with or without tape. I asked for a pointer to a manifold, where this would not be a problem at all, and the sole useful answer came from you (thank you).
