newb question grafting key lime to meyer lemon

I did search and got TOO MANY results. Wow, there is a lot of info here. Here is my question:

I have very limited in-ground space that gets appropriate sun. I have a meyer lemon "bush" that's about 6ft. tall and about 8ft. diameter that's very healthy and productive. I just got a key lime/mexican lime tree that's about 3 feet tall and cannot find a suitable location to plant it.

Given the limited space, I need to decide to grow the lime in a pot, or whether I could successfully graft it to parts of the meyer tree. I would like to dabble in grafting but I know nothing about this stuff. Is the meyer tree too big already to take grafts from the lime tree?

Basically for a newb, would I be more successful growing the lime in a pot, or trying to graft to the lemon tree, because there just isn't space to plant it on its own. Thanks..........
