If I understand your climate there, there remains at least two months of growth time, right, for a tropical plant? Given that, I'd repot.

As to your second question, it's not in full leaf now? (I know, I know, answering a question with a question is poor form, but sailors are allowed to do so).

It wouldn't hurt anything to leave it alone and wait for spring. But...

Here in zone 7 I quit repotting about August 15th. I would guess you have another two weeks on top of that. If you want to do it, do it now though so you are not encouraging growth late in the season where the sun won't support strong growth.

If you wait until spring, I start repotting when I see a healthy flush of growth on the plant.

If you are a little hesitant, just wait. Too many things might, could, sometimes go wrong with late season repots on adeniums if you are not in tune to their signals.

And there you have it - listen to Randy. I've only been growing Adenium for a few years, so Randy's the Master and Commander of the Good Ship Adenium, IMO. I didn't realize that repotting this late in the year is fraught with potential difficulty, so I'm glad he rang in.

It's one of those flip a coin questions. If you are pretty comfortable in your ability to care for the plant, go for it. Just keep an eye on the plant and only water when needed. A unestablished root system doesn't have a lot of room for error. If you error, let it be on the dry side.

If you are a little hesitant, waiting for spring will not hurt anything.

I'm going to be repotting about 10-12 adenium over the next few days.

Kidding aside, I thought about going there, but wasn't too wild about living in Stillwater.

Eeeppp I've been re potting mine any time, whoops. My oldest one (just over a year) I re potted into an unglazed ceramic pot awhile ago (start of winter)and a couple of weeks later its caudex had visibly lost a lot of its size and become soft. I quickly pulled it up thinking it had root rot but it looked fine, just soft, so I thought maybe I was under watering. After a good soak it was solid again but then a week later it was soft again so I put it back into a plastic pot with another big soak and it has been solid ever since, but I'm sure the caudex still isn't as big as it was.

So I'm thinking I will not put my adeniums in unglazed pots again and have learned that, as only one of my babies out of about 70 has gotten root rot this winter, not to be too stinggee with the watering. As yet (we have about a month and a half or so to go) my adeniums have made it through thier first winter!!! YAY!!! Touch wood.
