The good ones are being dug up by RIA, She is a goods person and has offered to care for them and give them to me in spring, but I am giving them to her. The rest die in the ground. I may take a cutting ot two from her.

I will try to keep the other tropicals. May sell them and some cuttings on Ebay. But the DOMAIN NAME IS a gift to someone who can utilize it, Just have to pay the host and renewal fee of I think 7.oo.

Before you do that give us a chance.. I know you can't sell here but you could list the things you plan on listing on ebay..Right???

Just got an e-mail the job is lost due to budget cuts. I give up.
no where to turn. Nation is in going to hell in a hand basket and jobs are getting scarce, I thought I was going to get by this winter, now it looks bleak. Please no sympathy, but I will take a job offer anywhere in the USA.

That really sucks Barry. I hope you will find something good. There are no jobs here that pay more than min wage & they are only part time with no health ins. My husband works out of town (70 miles) from Mon to Fri for $7.50 an hour. At least he gets overtime but I never get to see him. But he loves his job and not many people can say that. He works in a halfway house for developmentally disabled adults & I'm very proud of him.

Barry, have you try to look for a job in California? I don't know what is the type of job you are looking for, but CA is one of the most high paying job in USA, especially state job like correctional officer or any law enforcement. They have great benefit and retirement plants.

thanks hong, my skills are in remodeling, skilled trades. The job I was given but lost before it started was building Maintenance. fixer 'er up do whatever needs to be done. Well versed handyman jobs are up my ally. I have varied skills.

OMGosh I didn't realise that the minimum wage was so low in the States ...My husband owns a hardware store and we pay our guys $22.00 hr to serve and help customers, All the guys work a 38hr week here.....

Napdognewfie your husband deserves 3 times that amount ,I'm astounded that the wage for a mature person is that low,especially offering an essential service as he does...how do you cope?

Barry there's jobs around here to be had but the cost of living is ridiculously high. Civil service employees complain because they can't afford to live in the area where they work. I hope you are able to find something soon.

My son does disaster reconstruction for a company here - the company's that the insurance companys hire when theres flood damage, fire damage, tornado, etc. or some other disaster to your home. Do you have any companies in your area like that? Its just a thought. He does everything from framing to roofing to sheetrock to carpet, floors, cabinets, paintiing, etc. With all the crazy weather and "disasters" we've been having surely someone is hiring in that area. Sending prayers for better times ahead your way and DO NOT EVER GIVE UP!

In the Myrtle beach area, maintenance technician jobs are usually pretty stable. This area has become year round and so many of the resorts need people who can repair things. My hubby has worked for a resort doing just that for 20 years or more. Also have you considered starting a small handyman/odd jobs business. You could probably get started for little or no money especially if you have your own tools.

Barry alot of construction company's will hire if you just go to the job site and ask...It may be scrapping out but it gives you an oppurtunity to meet people.. Hope you find something soon...

Heya Barry!!! Do you do roofing? If so you should move to Atlanta... Every house in and anywhere near Atlanta is getting a new roof because of hail damage earlier this year... Homeowners insurance pays for every bit of it plus gutters on most and other damamge too. These guys are making a killing here right now.

I don't know you but if you are really willing to relocate, try the Gulf Coast area. The rebuilding from Katrina and Rita had not been completed in the central/west-central Gulf Coast when we had Gustav and Ike this year. Florida has been hit several times in the last few years; I would guess they are in the same situation. Skilled craftsmen are almost impossible to find here. The pay rates have risen along with the shortage.

I have been waiting since 2005 to have a door replaced!

Craigs list..... I would mention here on the coast but summers are really brutal. There is work 24/7 365 days a year.
