I kind of thought that #6 may be Aloe Ferox, but I wasn't very sure. Any other IDs would be very helpful, even if they are not really aloe plants...lol. Thanks so far guys.

Yeah you guys are right. I thought I had replanted this in more porous soil. After taking it out. I see the original Peat moss based Lowes soil is in there. I did put some LARGE volcanic rocks on 2 inches bottom and the healthier roots went down there and wrapped around the volcanic rocks I guess this is just another example of how bad that peat soil is. My only question is.... WHY did it look so healthy when it was at Lowes being overwatered and getting LESS sun... When I moved it to my house in a sunnier location and added volcanic rocks to the bottom, and only watered once every couple weeks then it started looking UGLY. At Lowes it looked beautiful. I don't get how these peat based soils make such pretty plants in the store then when I bring the same peat based soil home and water less then they look like this???? >_

Love all your new plants David! It's great that your Ikea stocks up on their succulent section. The Ikea here in Brooklyn is almost a joke when you look at a bunch of deserted and miserable plastic plants labelled "assorted succulents". I was eyeing the "Black's sharks fin" too, in the listing the plant looked really.. black. So I'm guessing it needs some sun to change its shade. I was looking at this Black Aloe too, I guess it shares similar pigmentation when exposed to prolonged sun. I bought 2 more plants, 1 from Aus and the other from Spain. And it's been more than 3 weeks now. I'm really concerned that they might be confiscated or the plants might not make it to me alive. Figured you might have more experience in this, so wanna hear your personal recount. As for the time being, I'm abstaining myself from buying anything overseas.. until my purchases arrive. -B
