You should not have posted pics of morning glories!! lol! I had to leave all of mine behind when I made the move - still miss them! I had 'Sunrise Serendade' & 'Gypsy Bride!' I love your blue cross! Very nice! I think I sent some of the seeds to Karyn - maybe she'll post a few pics of hers! :) At least I'm seeing what I missed out on! Love the tree frogs - too cute! And your poker buddy is adorable! :) Such pretty green eyes!

Wow, Lennette. I knew you were holding out on us, lol. Those are beautiful. I really like the blue and pink cross. Thats really cool.

Josh you have done a Beautiful job with your yard, I knew those Brugs would have a good home, I would love for you to see my yard, my camera is still at the repair, I totally agree with you on the wasted space of a small piece of grass, get rid of it have more flowers, I did the same thing, I took out all the grass & put a contorted Filbert there with lots of mulch a concrete pedestal with catcus in a pot I made myself hypertuffa, & a hugh agave in a pot on the ground beside the Filbert, as soon as my camera gets back I can take all kinds of Pic's Thank you, Josh for the wonderful tour of your Georgeous Yard Elizabeth

Lol, I will stop coloring too when it all gets one color. I just have this big black patch in the back. They found something on the cat scan last night they need to do an MRI and get a closer look at it near the pituitary gland in his brain. I have been so worried I am exhausted. I couldn't even tell what I was trying to say in that last post. He is still very tired too. I hope we can still go this weekend but waiting to hear from the doctor if its ok or not and see how we are both feeling. He is in denial of course and outside working in the heat so I am watching him close and making him come in for breaks and drink water. I think he had heat exhaustion He passed out and had a siezure. Sure wish the ER doctor had told me more before she ran off and left. My sister's daughter in Georgia just had a baby and they had to remove her gallbladder this morning so she might be able to come either. Whats that song about if it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all? Lol, things will get better. Just soooo tired.

Thank you Linda, yup, that's the view from my backyard. It's beautifull. F4F, the tibouchina likes cool weather. Right now, we are having dry heat in the 100s and the flowers don't last at all. They wither by noon. In the fall, when temperatures are nice and cool, the flowers last up to a couple of days and the shrub covers itself in neon purple flowers. Tropicalnut, Arizona is WAY too hot and dry. It will be a big change. Even though some areas in southwestern AZ are close to being sub-tropical desert, they get very little rain and have lots of water limitations. Sure, you can grow plumeria, royal poinciana, bismarckia nobilis...but there are the downsides. Tucson is another warm region of AZ. They are more conservative about their water and garden with mostly natives and near-natives, while Phoenix is more deliberate about their water usage and have spans of green lawn, which is something quite rare in Tucson. I'd say if you want to grow tropical stuff, move to Hawaii where you won't have any limitations in water and won't ever have to worry about frosts.

The fragrance is a pretty strong lemon fragrance... and you don't hae to be right up next to it to smell it, it drifts. Daniella I hope you get some blooms this season. The Lucky's NOID in your one pic looked like it was doing well, maybe it will Y and bloom for you. Are your other brugs as big as that one? Shawn

You have such cool plants. I love your cross. It looks like a blue form of the purple hige MG. I can't remember the name offhand. Mike I don't have that blue one but I do have the others.

Your MG's look so healthy. My foliage looks really ratty now. The cross is to die for, love the shredded look and the colors.
Why don't you send me the poker cat and let me play with it till I get my bird !! LOL

Wow, you sure grow a wide variety of cool plants. I never knew morning glories could look like that. Very nice! I might have to look into the types of ginger that you grow. I love that white butterfly with the beautiful varigated leaves! I have a bid on some ginger from Hawaii that I hope I win. I bought a ginger root at the grocery store one time to see if I could root it. No luck, but it was fun trying! I love your green tree frogs! I have the brown color here.

Impressive morning glories, love your cross. Your other flowers are stunning as well. And I see you have pretty little green tree frogs. I never see any of those around here.

Very pretty. I never knew morning glories came in anything but a smooth flower. Are they summer hardy ?

It is nice when it cools some so our efforts can show some rewards. Keep the pictures coming. How you can move from one coast to the other and have them blooming in one season. Is a tribute to your skill.

Thanks for the comments :) The blue feathered/wierd one has only put out about 8 flowers so far and 3 didn't even open all the way. I haven't been able to get any seeds so far from it either so hopefully I will get some before it freezes or I will have to try to root cuttings and overwinter in the house. The blue in the photo is a little darker than real life because my camera wants to make all the blue hues more purplish for some reason.
The phillipine violets are more blue than purple too.

Both our cats look like Halloween cats lol. We have the black one and one that is white, black, and orange calico with long hair.

Shawn the plants I won on BGI are: Freckles (It has a green on green variegated foilage-just can't see it that good yet cuz it is so little), The other two are named yet but he is planning to register them. One of the others has a orange almost bronze flower, and the other one is a whitish cream flower, I think, that is a really spectacular bloomer. They are babies of the hybridizer Fred Sommers.

kylie, that could be a deficiency-who knows, there is a mother plant and another normal pup in the same pot that are very healthy maybe they are hogging all the nutrients. I just think that pup is so wierd regardless lol~growing really slow too, only grew @ 3 inches all summer. I should separate it in the spring and see what happens.

Jim, you get much hotter than us here but I know that MGs grow in hot climates and reseed themselves to the point they become invasive. I just let mine climb wild up other tall plants like the brugs and other vines.
Some of the newer varieties don't seem to produce as many seeds so might not be as invasive. I don't have that many exotic types yet- but there are some really strange ones out there now-look at ebay lol.
