Good morning all. Lucy, you are good with your camera. The coloring of the pix smack in the middle is spectacular! I normally just keep my camera on 'Auto' so never try other settings.

Beautiful butterfly! It is cool that the different settings give such different effects.

Thanks friends. Those kind of memories will make the winter go by a lot faster. Having great things to look forward to next summer. It was however interesting how much things have been different this growing season then last.

How much more you SEE...as time goes by and you learn more and more about how to grow a happy garden.

Its beautiful Lucy. I have to find my dang camera cord. I have about 200 pics I need to download, lol. Have to go to Houston tomorrow for stepsons graduation from mechanic school and whoohoo we bought a tractor today with a front end loader and backhoe attachment and an auger, box blade and bush hog. Might get our land by the shop cleaned up and build our shop and have a fence place for plants there eventually. Its an older model but in good shape. We have to pick it up Saturday. It was too muddy today.

congrats Kristy. Man that means I CAN drive into the backyard again roflmao.
Don't you just hate when you can not find those cables :-( I can not wait to see all you gorgeous plants.

Just wanted to let you know it was a good day even though I am exhausted. Gotta get to bed so we can pick it up tomorrow. The first thing John said was tell Lucy we can pull her out now, lol. Have some stuff for you if we can get together sometime tomorrow.

Yes we can. Man not only could you pull me out..but you also could have just pulled out my maple tree in front. Had NO ROOTS left. Well one that was only as long as my arm. The tree guys have NEVER seen a crop worm *sp?* as big as those 2 that were at the bottom of the root system inside the stem :-( They were as fat as my big toes!! Laid them in the street on the edge and I tell you it was not 10 minutes and they were gone. I thought they might make a nice meal for a birdy :-)

But I sure hope I never need to call and ask for help lol

Kristy I had no idea that it is a one day trip you did :-( Call me when you are up and ready for me :-))) Got to run to Lowes and buy more shelves and shop lights. Have to set up the space for the tender plants for inside.

What is your butterfly feeding on. Must have been tasty for him to have stayed long enough for you to take so many photos, I find the Black ones very skittish around here, though the yellows will ignore you for ever!

Hi Lucy! Not Thursday morning anymore, I've been distracted. I think for sure I saw *one* of those butterflies this summer as I noticed the bit of blue in the black, but didn't get to see the orange spots on the underside. You did a wonderful job photographing him, what a beauty!

Frances believe it or not...the butterfly was just hanging on a piece of thick grass ...those stems that have some seeds at the end. I tell ya...he was only posing for me lol
