Good report on Audry.

They have begun to wean her from the sedative in order to remove the respirator in the moring.

It seems she is recovering and her lungs should be able to handle it with breathing treatments.

They worry about fluid in the lungs.

We are excited to get her back to us.

Thanks to all of you, more than I can say for taking in the "newbie" as family in her time of need.

I hope I get to meet alot of you soon.

Texasfern what a way to start my day!!!!!!!! I know how relieved you and the whole family is that Audry is out of the woods.

Will continue to pray for her lungs to be ok and to be her old self again soon.

There is no difference if you are a newbie, lurker or someone who has been here a while.
We are all children of God!

Last year was my first WSing and I got into the seed saving in a BIG way (ask my family, there were paper plates of drying flower heads all over the house!) They got to the plates by all the methods mentioned above (collected in any kind of container really, then put on plates to dry.) But it was the seperating the seed from "the rest" that took a tremendous amount of time and effort for me. Some are easy (shake in a bag,hard,heavy seeds fall to bottom) but some are very tricky. People on this forum were very helpful and chatty in the fall about seed saving - what works best for seperating certain seeds/chaf, etc. I'm sure that will happen again. I also wanted to participate in the "Round robin" big seed swaps and felt that I should make labels on the computer for the little zip lock bags I was sending so the recipients would know something about the seeds (name, ht, color, etc) That took a lot of time, both creating the labels and then placing them on the baggies. And I soon discovered that many others don't do this...more than 50% of the wonderful seeds I received just had a handwritten name on the envelope, leaving it to me to look up information. But now that I have a ton of them on my computer already and will just have to do the printing, I will do the same thing again anyway. I'd be happy to share the word label files with anyone who wants them for their seeds. The amount of seed and variety of seed I received in these swaps (I did three, sending and receiving around 100 each time)was incredible and I highly recommend that you try them if you haven't. It was like christmas morning apporaching the mailbox to see if the packages arrived, and I would sit for hours just sifting through the packages of seed, amazed by the "riches" in front of me! So for me seed saving is just the "other side of the circle" - I've been able to put out over 200 containers of seedlings this year so far with saved/swapped seed. LOVE IT! Nancy

Hi, rayminkle, We just had an inch of ice and 4" of snow on Tuesday, then this monster came through. Twelve inches on the ground with winds that whipped the drifts to 3-5' high! Out in the country it's much worse than it is here in town. Poor people. I hope this is the last big blast of winter for us. Crafty

You are all so wonderful, thank you for all your support, caring, and prayers. It truly does mean allot to us. I'll make sure to remember about "crying in the shower" and I'm taking Jeanne's little message to heart for sure. I didn't learn much new yesterday--but was very upset by the way the doctor presented information to me. I'm not ignorant and I've done some research--what I wanted was ways to cope with where we are now and suggestions on preparing for future changes and how best to help DH. What I got was a whispered "doom and gloom" dialoge which excluded my DH almost completely. Looking back, I should have stopped her asked for our copies of the papers and gone home and waited to discuss them with his regular doctor. On top of that, the paperwork was obviously a form already on her computer and used for other patients because one section says "her" repeatedly because she obviously forgot to change that part to "him". I guess I am naive to expect paperwork specifically prepared for DH. I hope the test results will be helpful to our doctor in some way, but right now I feel like they were a waste of our time! Oops! Sorry--guess I just needed to vent. I am learning as I go, but I now realize that my job is to care for and protect my DH in every way I can----even if it is from rude, inconsiderate specialists! Enough said--on with the fun decorating that I love. We'd better hurry, Valentine's will soon be here! What good news!!! I was just thinking of you and Audry last night, and planned on coming on this morning to ask how she was doing. Prayer is a great thing..and the prayers won't stop now!

Hello all.
Sorry for not getting in sooner, just chasing my tail!
My girl is getting better and better.
Yesterday was a bit rough, and we thought they were going to have to put her back on the ventalator last night, but she fought thru.
When I left the hospital a bit ago she was smiling and eating jello.
I thank God for all of you and pray His blessings on each.

There is no greater news then to hear that a prayer has been answered!!!

Just hug her from me and tell her that eventhou we do not know her...we want her to be healthy and home very very soon again!

Morning!
Better news today.
They have removed the cathiter (boy is she a happy camper)
and they will remove the main line this afternoon and put her in a room. She may be headed home on Monday.
I have been telling her about all of you praying for her and she is very grateful.
She asked that I say thank you with this.
