Comments (3)monkeymama: I have a very healthy large wandering jew plant & would be happy to trade you a cutting off it. I do not know how to take a cutting off it though (how many nodes are required, etc.). So, if you want a cutting, let me know how to take one off it & also what you have for trade. Comments (6)Lasagna composting with newspaper and grass cuttings. Google it. It really works, to kill grass/weeds, as well as great soil-improver. I don't know why it works, but I know it does. Some folks believe tilling just destroys whatever structure you already have in your soil, so no-till is trendy. I layer newspaper (maybe 3-5 sheets, overlapping edges), then an inch or two of grass clippings, then newspaper again and so on. A few layers works great (more if you need more to smother grass), and a little mulch on top makes it all look pretty while the grass underneath is dying. Then in a couple of months, plant right in it....See MoreHelp-My DH is going to kill me if I don't make a decision
Comments (4)Lsudude, About your counter top, sink dilemma: It seems a shame to give up "His and Her" sinks on a counter top so long. Have you thought about adding an outlet behind the knee hole- Possibly with access from the drawer in the vanity to keep your iron and hairdryer? There are pictures on this forum showing that. Alternatively, add an outlet on the wall behind the kneehole- Plug your appliances into the outlet and attach hooks on the sidewall of the vanity (kneehole wall) and hang your appliances. This second way is what we did- as the first wasnÂt feasible. The existing wall outlet can be used when needed- recharging a toothbrush or shaver- since relocating the outlet to the medicine cabinet wasnÂt feasible either. About the sinks- everyone has their own preference. I like the look of "Under-counter" sinks on a counter of that length. Vessel sinks would be very dramatic as well. The smooth lines of the under counter sinks in the granite appealed to me. My granite fabricator included cutting the holes for the sinks, drilling the holes for the faucets and mounting the sinks in his cost. Comments (23)Hey! I replied yesterday but apparently my post disappeared. Let me try again... Two things: Let it be & have patience. Regarding the leaf, not much to be done about that. It formed that way based on what ever other plants where in its way when it was first developing. It won’t ever be straight but it is helping your plant so just leave it be. New leaves either from the center or offsets or both will form and that older leaf will eventually dry up. As far as watering, you’re dealing with a rooted transplant and not a cutting. If this new location has the same soil as the original location where this plant was moved from then I don’t think you have anything to worry about with your watering. Just water this one the same way as you water the others....See MoreVonBonLeroux
