Well, I guess it's all in the eye of the beholder. :) I think mine look more like the photo in the link you posted than yours do, lol. Mine are also from commercial seed. So who can tell? I tried to take a photo of mine, but my computer is not co-operating. I just got it fixed, supposedly, but I'm beginning to think it worked better before-hand! I'll continue to try to post. In the meantime, I guess we can all enjoy whatever rudbeckia it is that we have growing in our gardens! Thanks, :) Dee

I don't want to ruffle any feathers but the plant in the picture looks more like K. marmorata to me, except that marmorata doesn't spawn leaf pups. Though I have seen no variations on it, the K. diagramontiana I know has very plump leaves. ...and after a little searching I think I may have your answer...drumroll... Kalanchoe gastonis-bonnieri! It meets the criteria. I don't have one but the pictures I found look just like yours. Never seen it in a nursery.

Hi Greg, I saw the nursery listed at the Cactus and Succulent plant mall. I check that site out once in a while to see if there are new mail order nurseries. But I'm always on the lookout for places that sell Echinopsis hybrids. I must say that most of the nurseries that I have visited over the years are owned by older people. It really makes me worry about the future of these privately owned specialty nurseries--how long will they be around?

Barb...both happy and sad....Happy he is moving forward with his life. Knowing he will go far as long as he stays focused on his studies, and learns to quit being so wasteful. Sad because he is moving on and we will be seeing very little of him in the next 4 years or so. We havent made any new life adventures yet. House needs some TLC. I suppose first we will get used to having a home with just us and the critters and go from there. Chell I used to be a dog and cat groomer. I loved it too. But my employer was a deedeedee. Never had the money to pay me each week and always "owed" me. And she never gave me my tips either.Then at the end of the year she reported more earnings for me than what I had really made.Fortunitly I kept records and proved my case and won, so make sure you don't let the same happen to you. I have kept my clippers, blades and accessories and still will do a neighbors dog or two once in awhile to keep my skills up.....but don't miss the hair stuck in places I did'nt know existed....lol.
