digging up brugs for winter/fake summer and the consequent result

I'm digging up my brugs right now in order to bring them in and continue their lives under indoor grow-lights for the winter. 2 days after (carefully) digging up my first couple trees, I notice that they begin to droop like mad. Is this normal and due simply to the shock of transplant, or have I damaged these guys? I have begun foliar feeding in case their roots aren't taking up enough nutrients. I know that 'wintering' entails allowing leaves to drop off, but I'm looking for these plants to continue growing and thriving, rather than going dormant.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Is this post-transplant droopage normal? And how can I best treat my brugs during these hard times?

Thanks!
